chapter 12
Song Yan and I were getting more and more familiar with each other.
Sometimes, when he got up early, he would wait for me downstairs at the dormitory in advance.
I practiced my makeup skills diligently. One day, I got up early on purpose and put on a delicate light makeup, my black curly hair draped over my shoulder, and changed into a pure white dress.
As soon as I went downstairs, I saw a tall figure standing under the ginkgo tree.
“Good morning, Baby.” I greeted him proactively.
Song Yan raised his head carelessly. When he saw me, his hand paused mid-cigarette, his eyes fixed deeply on me for two seconds, then he put out the cigarette and walked over in a few steps.
“Do I look good?” I spun around to show off.
He hooked up the corner of his mouth and patiently watched me finish my display. “You look good. Why did you dress up specially today?”
“From now on, I’ll dress up every day.” I took the initiative to link my arm through his.
Song Yan’s arm stiffened for a moment, and he turned his head awkwardly. “You look good whether you dress up or not.”
Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang.
Song Yan glanced down at it, a bit unwilling, and answered the call.
“What is it?”
“Yan Yan, Baby.”
On the other end was a woman’s voice, so gentle it was almost dripping.
I don’t know if he accidentally pressed speakerphone, but the voice was especially clear.
The situation was a bit awkward, so I decided to give them some privacy.
“I’m going upstairs to get something.”
After saying that, I dashed back to the dorm, just in time to grab the Contract Xuanxuan drafted for me. Then I quietly watched from the hallway window, waiting for him to finish the call before going out.
Song Yan was suddenly in a bad mood, his face clouded over, and he didn’t say a word the whole way.
I realized a bit late that maybe I shouldn’t have spoken up just now.
Maybe his little sister misunderstood after hearing a woman’s voice and then argued with him.
I was a bit anxious, even wanting to teach him a couple of tricks myself.
Say I’m a classmate, or say I’m your older or younger sister-either works.
Can’t you make up such a simple lie?
During class, Song Yan sat there without saying a word.
I was anxious sitting next to him.
What are you waiting for? Take out your phone and coax her quickly.
A short class passed, and I was restless.
Song Yan finally couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you squirming over there?”
“Hehehe.” I forced a fake smile. “New clothes, not used to them yet.”
He stared at me for two seconds, then suddenly leaned in a bit. “A woman just called me. Aren’t you jealous? Do you really see me as just an emotionless ATM?”
To be honest, I don’t really get jealous.
For this two hundred thousand, I could tolerate the entire Sahara Desert in my eyes.
But couples in love are supposed to get jealous.
“Of course I’m jealous,” I said shamelessly.
“Then show me how jealous you are.”
I raised my little fist and lightly tapped Song Yan’s chest. “Bad man, how could you do this? I love you so much, yet you still go arm-in-arm with other girls and chat on the phone right in front of me.”
While rummaging through my bag, I continued, “Don’t do that again, Baby. As punishment, you have to sign this Contract.”
When I handed him the Contract, Song Yan was completely stunned.
After a long while, he finally signed the Contract with a sullen face and a few quick strokes.
“You’re something else, Yu Sisi.”
