chapter 10
Back at the dorm, I skipped dinner and posted on my Moments first.
A group photo, captioned with three words: “Boyfriend.”
By the time I finished my meal, my comment section had exploded.
All caps, full of question marks.
“When did you start dating?!”
“Is your Boyfriend that rich kid from the Computer Science Department?”
“Weren’t you all about making money?”
Hmm… Why didn’t I stick to that?
Song Yan didn’t comment, just gave me a like.
He didn’t post on his Moments, but of course, I didn’t mind.
I’m just a part-timer-how could I expect anything from my excellent boss?
But after this incident, I realized my lack of dating experience was seriously affecting my boss’s romantic experience.
Determined to fix this, I decided to binge some Campus romance novels and sweet dramas to brush up on my dating knowledge.
Just as I opened a certain Korean drama app, the dorm door banged open. Two girls screamed and lunged at me, firing off questions in rapid succession.
“You started dating and we only found out from your Moments?”
“Who chased whom first, how did it happen, have you held hands, kissed yet? Spill!”
I was stunned for a moment. “Well, it all started from…”
“Wait!” Dorm leader Xuanxuan hit pause, grabbed two bags of chips from the cabinet, tore them open. “Okay, continue.”
So I spent three minutes giving them a rough explanation.
The two of them were dumbfounded for quite a while after listening.
“Two hundred thousand? Every month? Is this not a scam?”
“Did you sign a Contract?”
I answered honestly, “He gave me the money, but we didn’t sign a Contract.”
“Are you silly? That money could be reclaimed. Let me ask my Boyfriend-he’s in the Law Department. I’ll have him draft a Contract for you.” Xuanxuan left, already dialing her phone.
The two of us stared at each other for two minutes before Xuanxuan came back.
“We’ll go print the Contract in a bit. He has to sign it.”
Chen Jiajia looked a little hesitant.
“Senior Song Yan probably wouldn’t do something like reclaiming the money, right? My Boyfriend is in his class. His family is super rich. We’ve run into him several times on dates, and he drives a different sports car every time.”
“No way, it’s two hundred thousand. We have to be careful. Let’s go, let’s print the Contract now.”
I thought about it and agreed-a Contract should be signed.
So the three of us squeezed into the copy shop downstairs, printed the Contract, and I stuffed it into my canvas tote.
Xuanxuan frowned, “Seriously, you’re making two hundred thousand a month, but your lifestyle is still stuck at nine ninety-nine free shipping.”
Chen Jiajia chimed in, “Exactly! Since it’s still early, why don’t we go shopping?”
I glanced at my bag. “Is it really necessary? We’re all students. As long as it holds books, it’s fine.”
“Tsk, Song Yan’s friends are all rich kids. Even if it’s just for your Sponsor’s sake, you should buy something decent.”
I nodded, “You’re right.”
