Chapter 47
Ji Ming’s Perspective (Part 10)
Why is it that Ye Shuo can, but I cannot?
Clearly, all my worries have been resolved, so why is it still not allowed?
I don’t understand–why, after losing my parents, must I lose her as well?
All the “whys” were devoured by primal desire in that moment. I lost control, desperately wanting to possess her completely.
When I woke up in the middle of the night, I found the space beside me empty.
I hurriedly got up; there wasn’t even a trace of her in the apartment.
I rushed out the door, my mind replaying every subtle change in her lately, and only then did I snap out of my daze.
She had clearly gone through such an experience, yet I still forced her.
I actually let these filthy, sordid desires take over my mind.
Her psyche must have had problems long ago, and I only realized it now!
I deserve to die!
I really deserve to die!
The moment I lifted her down from the railing, I was so terrified I could barely breathe, my whole body trembling uncontrollably.
I will never touch her again, never again.
She finally told me the truth.
So that’s how it is. So that’s what it is.
We were actually enemies all along.
How wonderful–between her and me, at last, there’s a relationship other than that of brother and sister.
