Chapter 40
Ji Ming’s Perspective (Part 3)
Originally, I took her to catch him in the act, hoping she would see the man’s true colors and give up on him.
But now, she’s curled up, crying her heart out.
I could barely tolerate her kissing him, sleeping with him, but I can’t stand her being so deeply moved by him.
I once naively thought that as long as she stayed by my side, I would be satisfied.
But it’s far from enough; I want her heart.
Under the influence of tears, I admit defeat.
I hold her, exposing my feelings to her, yet still trying to disguise their ugliness with words.
I had fantasized about this scene countless times, but when the moment of judgment truly arrived, my mind went blank.
The only thought was: Please don’t hate me, don’t despise me.
She agreed.
She said okay.
I thought I was imagining it.
But when she smiled, and that smile settled in my heart, I dared to believe it.
She called me her boyfriend, said I was the other person.
As long as I’m not just her brother, I’m willing to be anything.
