Later, a childhood friend of mine came looking for me.
This friend of mine… well, she isn’t straight. She’s only ever dated girls.
So I just treated her like one of the guys and would take her out with my buddies.
And this is where I have to admit I was wrong.
I’ll own up to it, I apologize. I genuinely didn’t think about the boundaries between guys and girls.
But that’s no reason to break up!
Good thing I had our family’s “paparazzo” secretly snap a picture of her with her brother.
Such a perfect angle, such a beautiful atmosphere, such professional skill.
I was so furious I tripled his pay.
But I was using it as leverage to stop us from breaking up, not as a reason for it!
I gave her a condition she couldn’t possibly reject.
And she still wanted to break up!
So I bolted. As long as I don’t agree, we can’t officially be broken up.
How is it fair that it takes two people to get into a relationship, but only one to end it?
Well, I won’t accept it!
