Chapter 29
My biological parents come from a small city in the south.
Though it cannot compare to the bustling convenience of a big city, opening the window reveals lush mountains and clear waters, picturesque scenery.
My father is a high school teacher, while my mother runs a small flower shop.
I found a job at a law firm here, mainly helping workers and employees handle labor lawsuits, resolving oppressive contracts and various unjust treatments.
Perhaps deeply influenced by Zhou Yuming, I no longer want to see innocent people being led down an irreversible path due to systemic injustice and the oppression of power.
My parents love me more than I imagined.
In her search for me, my mother closed the flower shop for several years, traveling across the country to places where I might have been trafficked.
My father, in addition to teaching, closely monitored news about child trafficking, and during holidays, he would join my mother in distributing missing person notices everywhere.
Later, they became familiar with the internet and asked others to post a lot of information online.
I don’t know who put the missing person notice on a delivery box, but I saw it.
My parents say that all of this is a blessing from heaven.
The fake wish I made at twenty-two really came true.
