Chapter 3
Mu Zejia has returned to the country.
By the time I heard the news, he was already standing in front of me.
“Xixi, long time no see.”
The boy in front of me still looked clean and sunny as ever.
But who would have thought the reason Mu Zejia and I broke up was because he cheated on me with a junior.
I saw it with my own eyes at a hotel.
At the time, he wrapped that girl in a blanket, lit a cigarette, and sat at the head of the bed.
He met my gaze without a hint of guilt. “So what now, Qiao Xi?”
“You won’t let me touch you, but I still have to take care of my physical needs, right?”
After we broke up, he openly got together with that girl.
He was already a senior, and whenever he didn’t have class, he would take his new girlfriend traveling all over the world.
By now, I guess it’s been half a year since I last saw him.
“What do you want?”
Hearing him call me so familiarly, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of rejection inside.
“Are you free at noon? Let’s have lunch together.”
I took a step back and shook my head. “I’m not free.”
“Are you still mad at me, Xixi?” His eyes dimmed. “Even though I made a mistake back then, I’ve always only liked you.”
????
I could barely keep up my politeness.
Mu Zejia kept talking: “So, Xixi, can you forgive me?”
He then made as if to hug me.
Before I could dodge, a familiar voice sounded behind me.
“Hey, buddy, looks like you’re confessing to the wrong person.”
Chen Sui walked over slowly, glancing at the hand Mu Zejia had reached out.
“Your hand.”
Mu Zejia withdrew his hand awkwardly, his tone unhappy. “Who are you?”
I finally found a chance to speak and looked at Mu Zejia.
“My boyfriend.”
Mu Zejia gritted his teeth and after a moment let out a cold laugh.
“Qiao Xi, it’s only been a short while and you’ve already found someone new?”
“Feeling lonely and empty, huh?”
