Chapter 2
I hadn’t even reacted before the other end hung up the phone.
Even though Chen Sui’s tone was calm, I still caught a trace of coldness in it.
Sure enough, in less than half an hour-
someone opened the front door from outside.
It was Chen Sui.
“…”
Oh, he knows the password to my apartment.
He stared at me expressionlessly and walked over slowly.
I couldn’t help but get nervous, hugging a pillow and curling up in the corner of the sofa.
“What are you doing here?”
…My voice was so weak.
“I came to hear the reason why I got dumped.”
He sat lazily on the sofa across from me, speaking lightly.
I buried the lower half of my face in the pillow and mumbled, “Didn’t I already tell you?”
Chen Sui looked at me for two seconds. “When did you see me kissing someone else?”
I was forced to recall that scene again, feeling a little down.
“Around four o’clock.”
He let out a short laugh and tossed his phone onto the coffee table.
On it was a video of a group of people playing basketball, with the recording time visible.
“At four, I was still on the court playing basketball. Are you out of your mind, Qiao Xi?”
I pressed my lips together and described, word for word, what I saw that afternoon.
Even though I only saw the back at the time, the figure and height looked just like him.
Even the jacket was exactly the same.
“That was my roommate Zhou Zhuo. He borrowed my jacket today to go on a date.”
Hearing Chen Sui’s calm explanation, my mood instantly turned from cloudy to sunny.
But I still stubbornly muttered in a low voice, “The back looked way too similar. You can’t blame me for getting it wrong.”
Chen Sui said nothing, just got up and walked toward me, stopping by the sofa.
My back felt an inexplicable chill, and I looked at him nervously.
“What are you going to do?”
The next moment, he picked me up and set me standing on the sofa.
My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck.
“He’s half a head shorter than me. Didn’t you notice?”
“Really?”
I looked down at Chen Sui, tilting my head and thinking for a moment.
“Deserve a beating?” He let out a faint smile.
I reflexively replied, “Are you going to get violent?”
He gave a lazy “mm.”
Then, he gave my lower back a not-too-hard, not-too-soft smack.
My face instantly burned up, and I glared at him.
Pervert!!
He seemed to be in a much better mood. Taking advantage of it, he turned around and sat down on the sofa, holding me.
He sat down with me straddling him, facing each other.
“Still want to break up?” He looked at me with leisure.
Feeling awkward, I buried my face in his neck and didn’t say a word.
A deep, magnetic chuckle sounded next to my ear.
Right after, the base of my ear was gently bitten.
“You only ever act up with me.”
