Chapter 12
She asked to meet me at the swimming pool near the school.
When I arrived, she was the only one in the entire pool. Only then did I realize she had reserved it.
Duan Yutang surfaced and lifted her goggles.
“Hello.”
Then she gave a gentle smile.
“Did you want something from me?”
I pressed my lips together and looked at her, ignoring her hypocritical politeness.
She saw how direct I was, but her smile didn’t fade in the slightest.
She had no intention of getting out, leisurely swimming around.
“I want to know,” Duan Yutang tilted her head at me, “how much do you like Chen Sui?”
She seemed genuinely curious, with no trace of provocation in her expression.
“I don’t need to tell an outsider.”
The rumors spreading more and more wildly at school were already exhausting me; I had no energy left to deal with a meaningless rival.
Meaningless, because I had never once doubted Chen Sui.
She shrugged.
“Whatever, I don’t care.”
“After all, in this world, no one could possibly like him more than I do.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she swam to the edge, grabbed the handle, and climbed out.
She turned her back to me.
Leaving nothing hidden from view.
