Chapter 7
Ji Yuxuan’s eyelashes trembled.
He unconsciously tightened and then loosened his grip on my hand.
I closed the diary and leaned down to touch his forehead.
“Brother… Ji Yuxuan…” I called to him softly.
Ji Yuxuan slowly opened his eyes.
He stared blankly straight ahead.
As if he was looking at me, yet not really seeing me.
Two silent streams of tears rolled down his face.
“Is this a dream?
“Or am I already dead?
“Didn’t Yutong hate me the most?
“I heard it with my own ears, I heard it. She stood in front of Qin Siyuan and said she would hate me for a lifetime.”
I wiped the tears from his face with my fingers.
“How could Yutong hate her brother? Yutong has loved her brother the most since she was a child.”
Ji Yuxuan turned his head in a daze, raising his hand to touch the back of mine.
“Hiss–”
A soft cry of pain escaped his lips.
He lowered his arm in pain.
His gaze gradually became clearer.
A hint of disbelief appeared in his eyes.
He struggled to sit up.
I pressed him down, “Don’t move, you have multiple fractures.”
The voice beside my ear suddenly turned cold.
“Have you finished acting?”
My fingertips shrank back, and my heart tightened.
“Ji Yuxuan, what will it take for you to believe that I’m sincere?”
He looked out the window, refusing to look at me.
“The brakes suddenly failed, was that your plan?”
“How could you think that of me? If it were true, why would I get in the car with you!”
Ji Yuxuan lowered his eyes.
A powerless and sarcastic curve appeared on his lips.
“Because you wanted to see me risk my life to save you, isn’t it ridiculous?”
