Chapter 12
Early the next morning, I pushed open my mother’s door.
I was holding a stack of paper and smiled at my mother.
“Hello, Comrade Chen Shimo. Cheng Jin reporting for duty.”
My mother looked over what I had written again and again.
“What are these scribbles?”
I smiled and told my mother that these were formulas.
When I first transmigrated here, I hadn’t given up on my dream of becoming the Big Female Lead.
But I was worried that by the time I was old enough to take on the Big Female Lead’s script, I would have forgotten everything I knew.
I could have forgotten everything after just one summer following the Gaokao.
Not to mention having to wait more than ten years.
So as soon as I was able to hold a pen, I began secretly copying things down from memory.
I was an engineering student, so the things I remembered included, but were not limited to, various formulas, equations, classic blueprints, and all the theoretical knowledge I could recite.
And essentials for a transmigrator – gunpowder, soap, and so on.
I even wrote down all the ancient poems, pop songs, and tropes from historical romance novels I could recall, filling a pile of paper.
I had already explained to my mother what a Transmigration Novel was.
She couldn’t stop laughing while holding that Household Intrigue Guide.
Annoyed, I huffed, climbed onto a stool, and said, “Comrade Chen Shimo, are you mocking my hard work?”
As soon as I finished speaking, there was a knock at the door.
“Madam, the Old Madam is waiting for you in the Main Courtyard.”
