I Divorced Him Quietly, Then He Went Crazy - Chapter 11
However, I didn’t expect to meet Jeremy face-to-face so quickly.
I was invited to a business summit.
My seat was towards the back.
Midway through, I saw someone in the front row slowly stand up and walk to the stage.
The man, impeccably dressed in a suit, calmly surveyed the room, his tone slow and deliberate, as if nothing could perturb him.
After he finished speaking, the young woman beside me whispered, “He’s so handsome, and I heard he’s still single, no woman by his side.”
I was a little surprised.
He was still single?
Just as I thought this, I looked up and saw Jeremy’s gaze suddenly stop, losing its previous calm and nonchalance.
At the end, I walked out.
But at the door, I saw Jeremy.
His gaze was fixed directly on me, without any attempt to hide it.
There were too many people around.
I instinctively changed direction, planning to exit from the other side.
But then I received a call from a friend.
She asked me, “Are you free tomorrow? Come see the venue I’ve chosen.”
I smiled, “Engagement venue? Okay, I’m free.”
With that, I hung up the phone.
Looking up again, I saw that Jeremy’s gaze in the distance had become exceptionally cold.
He looked at me, then curled his lips.
After a while, he said nothing and left.
