Summary
Fu Xueshen and I have been classmates since elementary school. You’d think that meant we grew up together. In reality, good students stick with good students, and bad students stick with me. He’s brilliant, quiet, and annoyingly handsome. I’m better at swinging a mop than solving a math problem. Borrowing his umbrella ought to be simple. Somehow, I manage to turn it into a personal disaster. Then Gu Xue transfers into our class: shy, bullied, and every bit as clever as Fu Xueshen. Standing up for her is easy. Realizing that both of them might move on to a future I can’t reach is much harder. I’ve never lost a fight. If keeping up with them means taking on my textbooks, then this is one fight I intend to win.
