Forgotten Love - Chapter 11
After coming back from Mom’s place, Gu Huaian took the initiative to move his pillow back to the master bedroom.
Although, every night before bed, he would warn me to behave and not cross the line.
But every time I closed my eyes and deliberately reached out to touch him here and there,
His half-hearted resistance always made me burst out laughing.
Half a month after Gu Huaian was discharged from the hospital, I took him to the company for the first time.
The new Gu Corporation Group, after years of his hard work,
Had managed to survive in the cracks at first,
And had now developed to reclaim a place in the business world of City B.
Originally, in another three to five years, it was very likely that the Gu Corporation would once again reach its former glory.
However, Gu Huaian’s amnesia instantly brought everything back to “before liberation.”
After I guided him step by step through three important documents,
Gu Huaian’s eyes were dull as he sprawled across the desk, acting spoiled.
“Ah, Shen Qingruan, my head hurts so much. Can you sign the rest of the documents for me?”
Looking at the pile of folders stacked like a small mountain on the desk,
I couldn’t help but laugh and asked him:
“Last time Yang Fan said that my dad is still the largest shareholder in the company-he really wasn’t lying, was he?”
“So, President Gu, don’t you want to take back everything that belongs to you?”
Lately, Gu Huaian had grown much thicker-skinned from my teasing.
So he replied nonchalantly, slacking off:
“Dad is way more capable than me. It’s better to leave professional matters to the professionals.”
“We’re all family anyway. Would Dad really set me up?”
After saying that, he seemed to realize something,
And hurriedly emphasized twice:
“Your dad, your dad!”
“Oh~~”
I drew out my tone, half-smiling:
“My dad, your dad… We’re all family, so what’s the point of distinguishing between us?”
Gu Huaian blushed furiously from my teasing again.
He picked up a folder from the desk and buried his head behind it.
“All right, go wait over there. I’ll call you if I have any questions.”
“Okay, President Gu.”
I agreed, but didn’t move.
“Why haven’t you left yet?”
Gu Huaian looked up, eyeing me warily.
Suppressing my laughter, I placed my hand on the top of the folder.
While he was distracted, I quickly pulled it out and flipped it over.
“President Gu, the folder…”
“You were holding it upside down just now.”
