Forbidden Tenderness - Chapter 15
My first meeting with Jiang Mo was a blind date.
A blind date I reluctantly attended after repeatedly declining.
I remember clearly the woody fragrance he carried.
“Hello, my name is Jiang Mo.”
He was blind.
A well-dressed, elegant, gentlemanly blind man.
“My eyes were injured in an accident, but I am actively seeking treatment.”
“All the family assets, properties, and companies will be managed by you after marriage, and I will wholeheartedly assist you.”
“Despite my shortcomings, you will receive substantial help, enough to build your career.”
Ying Chen’s parents looked down on me.
After the college entrance exam, they arranged for him to go abroad, separating us.
Thus, having my own career became an obsession, turning me into a workaholic with dreams of establishing my own business.
Jiang Mo was a tremendous support.
I admit that marrying him was initially for the benefits.
But later, I gradually accepted and fell in love with this little blind man.
“Qi, I know you like me to be obedient, easy to control,” Jiang Mo traced my face with his hand, “I was so afraid you’d leave me, so I healed my eyes and kept pretending.”
“But it seems you’ve fallen for me.”
Jiang Mo smiled.
He gently pinched my shoulder, looking triumphant: “You’ve fallen for me, so I don’t need to pretend anymore, and even if you don’t love me.”
He leaned in, whispering in my ear: “You can’t escape.”
What a bastard.
Jiang Mo wore such a mask for three years.
Now, he could reveal his true nature.
“Turn off the lights.”
“No.”
All the lights in the bedroom were turned on by this bastard.
His eyes were no longer dark and lifeless, but filled with a triumphant smile and intense desire.
A cold face wasted.
My hands were locked above my head, unable to break free, Jiang Mo was entirely different from before, firmly restraining me.
“Such strength, no wonder you beat Ying Chen like that,” I gritted my teeth.
“Yes,” Jiang Mo gently pinched my waist, “I have great strength, even though I was blind for two years, I know my way.”
This knowing the way clearly wasn’t in the usual sense.
“At first, I was afraid, with my eyes in such a state, that you would be dissatisfied.”
He chuckled softly, as if recalling something: “But it seems I overthought, because when I couldn’t see, you were more than I imagined…”
I felt my ears burning.
In the past, relying on his blindness.
I did many things that pushed the boundaries.
Now, it’s time to pay the price.
“That photo,” I caught my breath, “You bastard, when did you start thinking about me?”
Jiang Mo squinted, softly uttering two words: “You guess.”
“Guess right, you get a reward; guess wrong, you get a punishment.”
“Damn you…”
The latter half was blocked by his lips.
Married at twenty-six, after three years, Jiang Mo finally faced the girl he liked with his true self.
From love at first sight at the airport.
To secretly striving, step by step calculating and planning, making himself a useful support for her.
First using benefits, then pretending to be obedient and pitiful to make her fall in love with him.
Perhaps it was indeed a bit despicable.
But Jiang Mo savored it.
Just like his name, he had been a silent presence in Yun Qi’s life for six years, quietly achieving great things, waiting for this moment.
“If, that day I hadn’t stumbled upon your true self, what would you have done?”
After a pause.
“I can’t see. What does it look like there, baby, can you tell me?”
“Then she,” Jiang Mo chuckled, saying: “Silly, why would I leave the recovery proof directly on the table, with the door unlocked?”
I was furious with embarrassment.
Amidst playful banter, Jiang Mo’s phone rang.
A few casual messages.
“Ying Chen has already left for abroad as per your instructions.”
He burst into laughter.
Even if Yun Qi asked, he would never tell her.
He was jealous, insanely jealous.
From the first time he saw that man, he wished he could kill him.
Why should he possess her youth?
Why should he flaunt himself before him?
He wasn’t magnanimous; he was petty. Even after gaining her heart and body, he wanted to eliminate any future threats.
“Jiang Mo.”
I poked his face, sighing: “Actually, you’re quite obedient, quite gentle.”
“As long as my dear likes it.”
Jiang Mo squinted and smiled.
If she liked it, he was gentle and pure.
If she didn’t like it anymore.
Then he wouldn’t guarantee what he would become.
