After spending a whole day out, both Chen Shuran and Xiao Ran felt quite tired. Therefore, Tang Jie took over the driving on the way back. It was a long journey; while it was fine sitting earlier, now that he was driving, Tang Jie realized just how lengthy the road felt.
After an hour of driving, the car came to a smooth stop. However, when he turned his head, he saw that both Chen Shuran and Xiao Ran had fallen asleep in the car, so he reluctantly continued driving towards Chen Shuran’s villa.
Xiao Ran woke up comfortably and started pointing out directions to Tang Jie, who was at the wheel. After navigating through a few big turns, the car finally came to a steady stop in front of a relatively luxurious apartment, which was Xiao Ran’s home. She was considered well-off, but compared to Chen Shuran, the gap was quite noticeable.
Xiao Ran cheerfully closed the car door and didn’t forget to say, “This is my home, but I have relatives over, so it’s not convenient for you to come in. Thank you, Tang Jie. You drive really well.”
Tang Jie nodded with a pained expression and waved to Xiao Ran, who had just gotten out of the car, with a face resembling a bitter melon.
The car drove all the way to Chen Shuran’s villa. She remained peacefully asleep, and Tang Jie didn’t want to disturb her. So, after driving into the Chen family villa, he got out of the car, preparing to leave.
As for Chen Shuran, she was still asleep in the car, and shaking his head, Tang Jie headed towards Blue Bay Apartment.
He was in a hurry. He was eager to test the iron piece given to him by the blind man, but since he was on the road, it wasn’t convenient to release his true qi. He had to suppress his anxiousness, and his running speed increased.
By evening, Tang Jie arrived outside Blue Bay Apartment. After having dinner, he quickly went upstairs.
With a “bang,” the door slammed behind him, echoing in the room. For a moment, sitting cross-legged on the bed, Tang Jie released his true qi, surrounded by beautiful halos. He held the black iron piece in his hand, his brows slightly furrowed.
After a while, Tang Jie put down the iron piece, glanced at the water cup in the distance, and gulped down a sip of water.
“What’s going on? I can’t detect even a trace of usage on this iron piece,” Tang Jie thought, his brows furrowed deeply. He gave the ceiling light a fleeting glance and sat cross-legged on the bed once more.
Tang Jie channeled an invisible force from his body into the iron piece in front of him. This force penetrated deeply into the iron piece, almost analyzing every single molecule.
However, there were no traces of usage whatsoever-it seemed as though the iron piece had never been used since its creation. Yet, the blind man had clearly told Tang Jie that he had once reached the Innate Realm by relying on this very iron piece.
“Could it be that my strength is insufficient?”
As Tang Jie pondered this, he directed his true qi once more into the iron piece for observation. After a while, the inside of the iron piece appeared to him like a flat schematic.
This image was created by connecting all the true qi permeating the molecules. Seeing the image, Tang Jie paused.
Though the image appeared unremarkable at first glance, a closer look revealed hidden mysteries, as if the image was made up of characters.
Overjoyed, Tang Jie quickly began to read through the text.
The text described a cultivation method for absorbing heaven and earth spiritual energy, a breath cultivation method. Though slow in speed, it was remarkably stable and could be practiced anytime, anywhere.
Having memorized the entire text, Tang Jie immediately set out to try the method. Initially, it required thirty minutes to enter a meditative state.
Once the half-hour had passed, breathing circles began to form around Tang Jie. Once these circles formed, Tang Jie needed to do nothing more than occasionally use true qi to maintain them, ensuring they remained unbroken.
With this, Tang Jie could steadily absorb heaven and earth spiritual energy, regardless of whether he was sleeping or engaged in other activities.
“Not far from the Innate Realm now,” Tang Jie thought with a smile as he drifted into sleep.
Tang Jie was unaware that, in another corner of the city, a few people were quietly monitoring this seemingly ordinary young man.
Wang Shiwen slightly lowered his head, his face full of grievance.
“What’s the matter, Shiwen?” Sitting across from Wang Shiwen was another young man with a head full of blond hair, his face naturally handsome.
The presence of these two attracted the attention of countless beauties, but these two paid no mind to such attention. Not to mention the blonde young man, Wang Shiwen himself, the designated heir of the Wang Group, had no interest in these ordinary women.
Moreover, the blonde young man opposite Wang Shiwen was his cousin, Wang Dachao, whose family background was twice as affluent as Wang Shiwen’s, making him even less likely to spare a glance at the mundane beauties around them.
Hearing Wang Dachao’s question, Wang Shiwen quickly raised his head and said, “Cousin, I’ve indeed run into some issues recently that I really can’t handle myself. Please, I need your help.”
“Oh, is that so? Is there something even my cousin can’t handle?” Wang Dachao paused for a moment and then downed his glass of red wine in one gulp.
Wang Shiwen nodded and also picked up his glass of red wine to drink.
“Shiwen, don’t rush. Explain everything to me slowly-tell me the whole story from beginning to end,” Wang Dachao said, setting his glass down and leaning forward.
Wang Shiwen also put his glass down, looked at Wang Dachao across from him, and began to slowly recount the entire situation.
After a while, Wang Dachao slapped the table and stood up abruptly, exclaiming, “Who exactly is this Tang Jie?”
“Cousin, Tang Jie is neither divine nor holy, and he doesn’t seem to have anything special about him, yet I fell into his hands. My leg just recently recovered.”
“Alright, Shiwen, you don’t need to worry about this matter anymore. Just wait and see what happens.” Wang Dachao patted Wang Shiwen’s shoulder to comfort him and then hurriedly left the bar.
Meanwhile, Tang Jie was enjoying his life, simultaneously sleeping and cultivating. Suddenly, he sensed a strong energy fluctuation. The fluctuation felt familiar, and after pondering for a moment, Tang Jie immediately recognized that it was the energy fluctuation of Wang Qianya.
