Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 47 - Sudden Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy
“Uncle Zhao, do you trust me?” Tang Jie didn’t answer Uncle Zhao’s question but instead asked an inexplicable question.
Uncle Zhao was already in too much pain to think. He looked at Tang Jie’s face, trying hard to calm himself down, and shouted, “Tang, I trust you!”
“Alright, Uncle Zhao, I have to tell you that once this medicine is applied, you will be in pain for several hours. After a few hours, the toxins will completely shatter the meridians that have been soaked by the foreign true qi for years, then I will use true qi to restructure your meridians.” Tang Jie murmured, occasionally glancing at Uncle Zhao’s shoulder.
“Alright, I trust you, ah!” Uncle Zhao screamed in heart-wrenching pain as Tang Jie frowned slightly. However, having endured such pain himself, Tang Jie knew that Uncle Zhao would definitely get through this ordeal.
Time passed slowly, and the still bedroom was filled with the smell of blood from the hallway. Tang Jie didn’t pay attention to it; he simply closed the broken door and anxiously waited in the room for Uncle Zhao’s recovery.
A few hours later, the pain in Uncle Zhao’s shoulder finally subsided, and his cries of agony ceased.
Wiping the sweat off his forehead, Uncle Zhao looked at Tang Jie and said with difficulty, “Tang, this medicine of yours…”
“Don’t worry, Uncle Zhao. If I can’t cure your illness, I’ll be responsible for the pain you’ve endured.” Tang Jie said as he sat cross-legged, then motioned for Uncle Zhao to sit in front of him.
Once Uncle Zhao was seated, Tang Jie murmured, “Uncle Zhao, the section of your body that was infected by the foreign true qi should now be completely shattered, so there will be incomplete or blocked parts in your meridians. Now I will use true qi to reorganize them, and you must endure it.”
“Alright,” Uncle Zhao nodded vigorously and bit down on a wooden stick.
Tang Jie activated his true qi, pressing his palms together before spreading them apart, and a faint gas materialized in his hands. As he gently placed his palms on Uncle Zhao’s back, Uncle Zhao suddenly began to scream wildly.
A warm current flowed from Tang Jie’s palms into Uncle Zhao’s back, pulsing steadily and continuously, until with a loud pop, Uncle Zhao’s shoulders began to crackle.
“Uncle Zhao, don’t be distracted. This is a normal phenomenon when I’m unblocking your meridians. It will be over soon,” Tang Jie said, slowly diminishing the force in his hands.
A barely visible halo enveloped him, his mind spinning rapidly.
In fact, this was Tang Jie’s first time assisting someone in this manner, and he had never personally experienced such feelings. At that moment, he felt an immense relief at the bottom of his heart, as if the air itself had become incredibly fresh.
Tang Jie greedily inhaled, gradually increasing the force in his hands. As he breathed in, the sensation grew increasingly pleasant, reaching a point where he couldn’t stop.
Suddenly, Tang Jie realized something was amiss. The scent entering his nostrils was supposed to be a foul stench of blood, but now it had transformed into an exhilarating fragrance.
“This isn’t right,” Tang Jie thought, his excitement growing. As he closed his eyes and used his divine sense to investigate, he discovered faint light bodies surrounding him, which did not disperse for a long time.
“Is this… the heaven and earth spiritual energy?” Overjoyed at the thought, Tang Jie exerted all his strength, channeling all his true qi into Uncle Zhao’s body. In an instant, the most challenging meridian in Uncle Zhao’s body was unblocked.
With a loud “crack,” a violent sound erupted, and Uncle Zhao slowly turned his head, falling down with a face full of surprise.
Tang Jie could no longer pay attention to Uncle Zhao. He was now ecstatically immersed in the boundless heaven and earth spiritual energy surrounding him, hurriedly trying to absorb it.
However, he found that he couldn’t draw the heaven and earth spiritual energy into his body. Whether due to his eagerness or some other reason, after several forceful attempts to inhale, the spiritual energy began to slowly dissipate.
Anxious, Tang Jie quickly restrained his aura, trying again to sense the heaven and earth spiritual energy around him, but after several attempts, he achieved no results.
It seemed as if the heaven and earth spiritual energy had once again moved away from him, leaving Tang Jie feeling a sense of loss. He had hoped to use this opportunity to break through his current power level, but unfortunately, he let this great chance slip away.
Despite this, Tang Jie was still delighted. Although he had not achieved a breakthrough in his power, the mere experience of feeling the heaven and earth spiritual energy was enough to keep him elated for days, as it was a precursor to a potential breakthrough.
Heaven and earth spiritual energy is something rare and cannot be sought; not everyone can sense it. Some ancient martial artists remain at the level of Acquired Great Perfection their entire lives without ever sensing it.
Some ancient martial artists, like Tang Jie at his age, have reached Acquired Great Perfection, but by the time they sense the heaven and earth spiritual energy, they are already old. Tang Jie is very fortunate to be able to sense it at such a young age.
Uncle Zhao slowly awoke on the bed, and seeing Tang Jie still lost in thought, he frowned deeply, “Tang, what are you thinking about?”
Hearing Uncle Zhao, Tang Jie quickly raised his head and said, “Oh, Uncle Zhao, you’re awake. I was thinking about why those two people came here.” Tang Jie lied without any reason, as he didn’t want anyone to know so soon that he had already sensed the heaven and earth spiritual energy, especially since he wasn’t too familiar with Uncle Zhao yet.
“No wonder! That palm of yours was quite fierce; it almost took this old man’s life,” Uncle Zhao said as he slowly moved his feet to the floor.
He moved his injured shoulder and looked at Tang Jie in surprise, “Wow, Tang, you’re really something. Although my shoulder still aches, the previous sensation is gone.”
“Uncle Zhao, your shoulder pain is now only superficial. After some rest, you’ll be fully recovered in a week at most.”
“So soon?” Uncle Zhao looked at Tang Jie in disbelief, then opened the bedroom door to leave.
“Hey, Uncle Zhao,” Tang Jie quickly called out and said with difficulty, “Make sure to have someone deal with the bodies in the room right away.”
Uncle Zhao’s expression froze, and as if recalling something, he nodded.
Watching Uncle Zhao close the bedroom door, Tang Jie didn’t go out. He quietly sat on the bed, repeatedly reflecting on what he did just before sensing the heaven and earth spiritual energy. He wanted to recreate the process and enter that state again.
By repeating this, entering that state at will could become second nature to him in the future.
