Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 28 - Qin Haozhong
“Beauty, if there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave.” The young man standing nearby said.
“Okay.” Chen Shuran nodded faintly, without saying much.
“Chen Shuran, who is he?” Tang Jie asked curiously after seeing the young man get into the dark blue sports car.
“Just a stranger,” Chen Shuran replied, turning her head away.
“Oh.”
As soon as they finished speaking, a loud crash was heard. Looking up, they saw the dark blue sports car collided with a large truck.
The front of the dark blue sports car had been deformed by the truck, emitting wisps of white smoke.
“Shuran-Jie, look, isn’t that car driven by that guy just now? He got into an accident!” Xiao Ran was the quickest to react, pointing ahead as she spoke.
Chen Shuran had already been drawn to the loud noise before Xiao Ran even spoke.
“Luckily, we didn’t get into his car just now; otherwise, it could have been us who got hit.” Xiao Ran patted her ample chest with lingering fear as she looked at the severely deformed front of the car.
“Let’s go check it out.” Chen Shuran said as she started walking toward the collision scene, with Xiao Ran following closely.
Inside the dark blue sports car, the man wearing sunglasses had his white shirt stained with bright red blood, his face pale.
“I… I… Damn!”
After mustering all his strength, he only managed to say this one sentence. If anyone were present, they would definitely be taken aback by his words.
In the modern bustling city, car accidents have become all too common. A large truck colliding with a luxury dark blue sports car, yet the sturdy truck showed little damage.
On the other hand, the dark blue sports car had its entire front deformed, and the young man driving was trapped inside, with his legs pinned down, unable to escape.
Bystanders kept their distance, wary of potential explosions from leaking fuel igniting, as frequently depicted on television.
Tang Jie, Chen Shuran, and Xiao Ran, however, showed no fear as they slowly approached the accident scene.
“Hey, handsome, how are you doing?” Xiao Ran quickly opened the door of the dark blue sports car and saw a young man inside, his white shirt stained red with blood. She immediately asked with concern.
“It’s nothing, I’m fine!” the young man said with a forced smile, though his pale face suggested he was seriously injured.
“Give me some room, I need to pull him out. If he loses too much blood, even if his legs recover, they’ll be useless,” Tang Jie said, pushing the two women aside.
Chen Shuran and Xiao Ran, unoffended by Tang Jie’s brusqueness, obediently stepped aside and quietly waited.
“Don’t… My legs are pinned by the hood; you can’t save me like this. We need tools,” the young man said, waving his hand to signal Tang Jie not to act recklessly.
Hearing this, Tang Jie simply smiled and responded, “If we wait for them to rescue you, you could die several times over.”
Ignoring the young man’s protests, Tang Jie bent down and entered the car. Under the young man’s astonished gaze, he slowly pulled the crushed hood and steering wheel off him.
“This… How is that possible?”
Amid his astonishment, the young man momentarily forgot the pain in his legs, staring fixedly as Tang Jie gradually removed the deformed hood pressing down on him.
With a sigh of relief, Tang Jie had completely removed the hood that was crushing the young man and quickly pulled him out.
Just then, a white ambulance arrived with a screech, stopping at the scene of the accident. Three doctors in white coats rushed out of the vehicle.
“How is the victim doing?” one of the doctors, a man in a white coat, squatted down next to the blood-covered young man and asked.
“He’s not going to die just yet, but if you don’t get him to a hospital soon, I wouldn’t know,” Tang Jie said, standing up and speaking calmly.
Without waiting for the doctors’ reaction, Tang Jie walked over to Chen Shuran and Xiao Ran and said, “Let’s go, or we’ll be late for school.”
Unseen by the two women was Tang Jie’s feat of strength inside the car; they only saw the blood-soaked young man, both of their lips turning pale at such a brutal sight.
The young man’s legs were severely crushed by the force of the collision, creating a gruesomely mangled appearance.
Such a sight would make even a man shudder, let alone a delicate and tender-hearted young woman.
“Wait!” Just as Tang Jie and the others were about to leave, the young man being placed on a stretcher by the medical staff suddenly called out, “My name is Qin Haozhong. What’s your name, so I can repay you later?”
Hearing this, Tang Jie paused, turned around, and slowly replied, “Tang Jie!”
After that, the three caught a taxi and left Guanqian Street, leaving the rest to be handled by others.
