Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 24 - What an Arrogant Boy Part 2
After hearing the whole story, Wang Shiwen’s initial shock gradually turned into a sinister expression. Finally, he gritted his teeth and said, “Tang Jie, so that’s why you’re not afraid of me, because you’ve had some training, hm…”
With a cold, mocking laugh, Wang Shiwen turned his head and said to Hu-Ge, who was sitting nearby, “Hu-Ge, this boy has just had some training, nothing to worry about. I’d appreciate it if you could personally deal with him. After you take care of him, these five hundred thousand will be yours!”
With that, he pulled out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Hu-Ge.
“This…” Hu-Ge looked hesitant for a moment but inconspicuously took the card and said slowly, “Since Young Master Wang personally asked, I can’t refuse. I want to see who this boy really is.”
Wang Shiwen didn’t show any expression towards Hu-Ge’s pretense, only secretly despising the money-grubbing guy in his heart.
Five hundred thousand is undoubtedly a large sum for the average person, but for Wang Shiwen, it’s just a drop in the bucket.
As the sole designated heir of the Wang Group, money is not a concern for Wang Shiwen.
“For this five hundred thousand, I want one of Tang Jie’s legs!” After Hu-Ge accepted the money, Wang Shiwen squinted his eyes and said darkly, “I’ll take responsibility if anything happens!”
“Alright, Young Master Wang, with your words, that’s enough for me!” Hu-Ge nodded and said, “I will definitely bring back one of this boy’s legs.”
“No!” Wang Shiwen shook his head and said, “I want to see the pain on that poor boy’s face when he loses a leg with my own eyes. I’m going with you!”
Hu-Ge had no reason to refuse Wang Shiwen’s request; it wasn’t the first time he had done such heinous things for him.
After the two agreed, they left the private room. Hu-Ge made a phone call, and then he and Wang Shiwen slowly headed towards No. 2 High School in a white van.
Having just satisfied his appetite at a small restaurant, Tang Jie stepped out after paying for his meal.
Patting his stomach contentedly, he looked up to the sky and exclaimed, “The food at this place is ridiculously expensive!”
Just then, a stray yellow dog that had just passed by him suddenly collapsed with a yelp, glanced back at Tang Jie with a look full of disdain, and then sprinted away, ignoring him completely.
“Damn!”
“What era is this? Even dogs are looking down on people now?” Tang Jie lamented, beating his chest in frustration.
Suddenly, a white van screeched to a halt nearby, leaving a black tire mark on the ground.
The van’s door swung open, and three men burst out. Without a word, they grabbed the still-dazed Tang Jie, pulled him into the van, and swiftly drove off after slamming the door shut.
“Hey, hey… What are you doing? Kidnapping someone in broad daylight?”
Now on the van, Tang Jie came to his senses and started cursing at the men who had dragged him aboard.
However, no one in the van responded. The three men, skilled in their movements, quickly pulled out a roll of duct tape and bound Tang Jie’s hands together.
At this, Tang Jie was speechless. It seemed his troubles were never-ending. First, he was cornered in an alley for a beating, and now, right after a meal, he was dragged into a van and had his hands tied.
Was it possible that he just looked that easy to bully? For the first time, Tang Jie began to doubt his own appearance.
“Stop looking! Sit still.” One of the men in the van glared at him and barked an order.
Hearing this, Tang Jie fell silent. After about fifteen minutes, the van moved away from the bustling streets and arrived at an abandoned construction site.
Pushed out of the van, Tang Jie looked around and muttered, “Damn, not this place again.”
It turned out that this abandoned construction site was where he and Uncle Zhao had lured the scarred man after an attack the previous day.
Glancing ahead at the construction site, Tang Jie could still see the drift marks left by the Lincoln limousine they had used. He let out a wry smile.
How was it that he ended up connected to this site so fatefully, returning twice in less than twenty-four hours?
Looking around, Tang Jie noticed a white van still parked on the abandoned construction site with three figures standing outside.
Upon closer inspection, two familiar figures caught Tang Jie’s attention.
“Wang Shiwen?”
Wang Shiwen looked at Tang Jie, whose hands were bound, and slowly said, “Tang Jie, didn’t expect this, did you?”
“Indeed, I didn’t expect you to show up!” Tang Jie replied with a smile, unfazed by the venomous gaze Wang Shiwen directed at him.
“Opposing me never ends well!” Wang Shiwen suddenly laughed, his sinister grin sending chills down one’s spine.
“Are you the kid who messed with my brothers?” Hu-Ge stepped forward, his eyes fixed on the restrained Tang Jie, finding it hard to believe.
The young, slender boy before him didn’t seem like someone who could take on Pao Zi, who had been living on the edge in the underworld for a while now.
“Hu-Ge, it’s this kid!” Pao Zi pointed at Tang Jie from behind Hu-Ge.
However, when he saw Tang Jie’s gaze, he swallowed the rest of his words. The look Tang Jie gave him was so sharp, it seemed as if it could pierce his heart, startling him.
“I want to see what you’re capable of.” Hu-Ge said, forming a claw with his hand and reaching towards Tang Jie.
With an unexpectedly swift strike that caught anyone off guard, Tang Jie deftly sidestepped Hu-Ge’s attack.
“Heh… you do have some skills.” Hu-Ge now agreed with what Pao Zi had said; this young boy indeed had some ability.
As the saying goes, an expert immediately knows if someone else is skilled. Hu-Ge used to be a special forces soldier before circumstances forced him into the underworld.
“Hu-Ge, break his leg for me!” Wang Shiwen’s voice came from behind.
Upon hearing this, Tang Jie’s previously gentle expression suddenly changed, and the surrounding air noticeably cooled.
He immediately exerted force with his hands, and the tape binding him snapped open.
