Demonic King of the Metropolis - Chapter 23 - What an Arrogant Boy Part 1
Tang Jie didn’t speak. After turning into the alley, he shook off the arms of the two people beside him and glanced at the group indifferently.
“Come at me all at once!” Tang Jie smiled and beckoned to them with a finger.
“What?”
The tattooed man and his companions widened their eyes in disbelief at Tang Jie.
“What are you waiting for? Don’t you have to report back? Or do you want to come at me one by one?” Tang Jie paused and said, “I don’t have that much time!”
“What an arrogant boy!”
The tattooed man shouted, took a steel pipe from behind his back, and was the first to charge at Tang Jie.
The tattooed man’s aggressive demeanor was entirely different from that of the hoodlums on campus.
If an ordinary person got hit by the tattooed man’s steel pipe, they’d likely break a couple of ribs.
But was Tang Jie an ordinary person? Not only did the tattooed man’s seemingly fierce attack not faze him, Tang Jie hadn’t even feared bullets or guns.
“Hah…”
In the blink of an eye, the tattooed man rushed at Tang Jie, bellowed, and swung his steel pipe.
To Tang Jie, the tattooed man’s speed was as slow as a snail. He easily dodged the initial attack, but at that moment, the other men had also reached the front.
“Impressive. I wondered why you were so confident. Turns out you’ve got some skills!” The tattooed man quickly recovered as Tang Jie dodged his attack and, without a pause, rushed at Tang Jie again.
The tattooed man and his eight companions, all skilled fighters, coordinated seamlessly with each other. Despite Tang Jie dodging their attacks time and again without breaking their formation, they each began searching for makeshift weapons to use.
Having been involved in the underworld for some time, the tattooed man and his eight accomplices were taken aback by Tang Jie’s unexpected agility and skill.
As the tattooed man struggled, unable to subdue Tang Jie, he cursed under his breath, “Damn, how can a student have such skills!” Yet, his actions never ceased.
However, these nine men overlooked one detail: from start to finish, Tang Jie was merely dodging and had not launched a single attack!
About ten minutes later, a bizarre scene unfolded in the alleyway. A young man in a sky-blue school uniform stood surrounded by nine burly men.
“You… you…”
Gasping for air, the tattooed man bent over, hands on his knees, the steel pipe he had been holding now lying forgotten beside him.
“So boring!” Tang Jie scoffed, turning away to leave, ignoring the nine exhausted men.
The tattooed man tried to stop him, but he was completely drained of strength. After Tang Jie had left, he collapsed to the ground, sweat beading on his forehead.
“How is this possible? After fighting for so long, we couldn’t even touch his clothes. How can a student have such incredible skills? And, he didn’t seem to fight back at all!” It was only then that the tattooed man realized.
Throughout the fight, Tang Jie had not fought back; he had only dodged. If Tang Jie had retaliated, would he still be sitting here unharmed?
This thought sent a chill through the tattooed man.
“What do we do now, Pao-Ge?” a breathless man asked, turning to the tattooed man who was sitting on the ground.
“What to do? How the hell would I know what to do? Call Hu-Ge, report what happened here!” Pao-Ge, the tattooed man, cursed angrily as he stood up.
The tattooed man took out his phone and dialed Hu-Ge’s number. When the call connected, he said, “Hello, Hu-Ge, this is Pao Zi!”
“Pao Zi, is the task completed?” a deep voice came from the other end of the line.
“Hu-Ge, the mission failed. I didn’t accomplish what you asked. That boy is not easy to deal with. My brothers and I fought him with everything we had for more than ten minutes, and we didn’t even touch him,” Pao-Ge recalled the scene, feeling a bit unwilling.
“Hmm?” A surprised voice came from Hu-Ge on the phone, and he slowly said, “I understand. Bring the brothers back.”
“Yes!” After hanging up, Pao-Ge waved his hand and shouted, “Anyone still alive, get up and follow me back!”
The group disappeared into the alley. However, after Tang Jie left the alley, he found that Chen Shuran had already left the school, with more than an hour left before class started.
Tang Jie then found a small restaurant, went inside, ordered lunch, and began eating.
…………
In a private room of a luxurious hotel, Wang Shiwen sat at the head of the table. Beside him was a bald man, and standing behind him was Pao Zi.
“Young Master Wang, who exactly is that boy you asked me to teach a lesson to? The men I sent couldn’t complete the task,” the bald man said, his voice a bit hoarse and deep, his eyes sharp.
“He’s just a new transfer student. How could this happen?” Wang Shiwen was taken aback and responded.
“The brothers I sent aren’t elite, but they should have been more than enough to handle a student. Yet, according to the feedback I got, that student wasn’t even scratched despite being attacked by eight or nine guys!” the bald man explained.
“What? Hu-Ge, are you saying Tang Jie wasn’t injured at all despite being attacked by eight or nine people?” Wang Shiwen asked in astonishment.
“Yes! Pao Zi, tell Young Master Wang what happened,” Hu-Ge gestured, and Pao Zi stepped forward.
Then, Pao Zi slowly recounted what happened in the alley next to the school, without leaving out any details.
