Chapter 28
The school’s anniversary celebration always features a fireworks display.
The playground was crowded with people.
I looked up, focusing on the fireworks blossoming in the sky.
I couldn’t help but take a few photos with my phone and send them to Chen Xu.
Under the dazzling night sky, Xu Siyan’s deep voice came from beside me:
“Your favorite author isn’t Yasunari Kawabata, it’s Márquez.”
“You don’t like fishing, you like photography.”
“Compared to Nolan, you prefer Spielberg’s movies.”
“You don’t like spicy food, nor do you eat nuts.”
“In the future, I will keep you in my heart.”
“Shuyue, let me walk towards you, okay?”
After breaking up and calling off the engagement, he began trying to approach me.
Fireworks adorned the night sky leisurely.
“Siyan, just now that firework was actually our school’s name.”
He looked up.
That firework had long dissipated, leaving no trace.
“Too late, I didn’t see it.”
“If only you had looked up sooner.”
He turned back to look at me.
His eyes held a thousand words.
Yet I blocked them in my throat, unable to express.
His smile was somewhat bitter.
