Chapter 8
I walked into the hospital room with a blank expression and took a photo with my phone.
Since I decided to get a divorce, having more evidence on my phone is a good thing.
Fu Shen opened his eyes and saw me, forcefully pushing Shen Xinyue away.
His face was pale, and his eyes showed an unprecedented unease and fear: “Wanwan?”
Shen Xinyue, who initially had a somewhat resentful expression, also changed her face upon hearing my name.
She looked at me in terror.
They were both afraid that I would make a scene in public.
But I simply said calmly, “The family of the patient in bed 03, please come and sign the documents.”
After speaking, I turned and left the hospital room.
Fu Shen and Shen Xinyue followed closely behind.
I handed the documents to Shen Xinyue to fill out.
“Your mother just has a cardiovascular blockage. She’ll undergo a stent implantation surgery tomorrow. Normally, she can be discharged three days post-surgery. I already told her yesterday.”
Upon hearing this, Shen Xinyue’s hand holding the pen shook, and she glanced at Fu Shen guiltily.
Fu Shen pressed his lips together: “Why are you at this hospital?”
“I transferred here a year ago.”
Fu Shen’s throat tightened, unable to say anything further.
A wife changed jobs over a year ago, yet her husband didn’t know, showing how inattentive he was.
Shen Xinyue handed me the completed documents, and when I saw the address on them, I paused.
Because the address she filled in was the first house Fu Shen and I lived in together.
At that time, Fu Shen bought it and wrote my name on it.
He told me:
“This place holds all our beautiful memories. From now on, you are the sole owner of this house.
“No woman is allowed to enter without your consent.”
Fu Shen seemed to realize this too, and just as he was about to explain, Shen Xinyue spoke first.
“Wanwan, I’m sorry, my landlord suddenly decided to sell the house and kicked me out.
“Brother Shen couldn’t bear to see me homeless, so he gave me the house keys.”
“Don’t blame Brother Shen, if you must blame someone, blame me.”
I looked up at Shen Xinyue’s pitiful eyes; youth indeed makes one sympathetic.
“How long have you been staying there?”
Shen Xinyue was stunned, seemingly not expecting me to be so calm.
“Two… two months.”
“Very well, you should know that the house is solely under my name. The rent according to the current market rate is eight thousand per month, please transfer it to me within the next couple of days.
“Also, I’m planning to sell the house soon, so please move out as soon as possible.”
