After the Divorce, My Ex-Husband Went Mad - Chapter 19
I knew that going back, I would inevitably run into Fu Shen.
I didn’t plan on deliberately avoiding him.
I just didn’t expect to encounter Fu Shen at the very first industry cocktail party I attended upon returning.
At that moment, Fu Shen stood not far away, his eyes bloodshot as he looked at me, as if tears might fall at any second.
I prepared to ignore him, but he grabbed my wrist and led me outside.
In the garden, Fu Shen held me in his arms, repeatedly saying, “I’m sorry.”
I kept pushing him away.
Finally, unable to hold back, I splashed the red wine in my hand onto his face.
“Are you sober now? If not, I don’t mind having the police drag you away.”
Fu Shen wiped the wine from his face, looking much more sober, yet his expression was even more desolate.
“I know everything Shen Xinyue did, including the messages she sent you and the matter with my father. I’ve already driven her out of this city; she’ll never appear in our lives again.
“Wanwan, I was wrong about everything before, and I deeply regret it.”
I chuckled lightly, “These things don’t matter to me anymore.”
Because without love, they no longer matter.
Fu Shen looked at me with tears in his eyes, “Wanwan, can you come back to me? Not a moment has passed these years without me thinking of you. I’ve always loved you.”
I looked at him coldly, “Fu Shen, don’t forget, we’re already divorced.”
“No, it’s not true. I never intended to truly divorce you; I just wanted to scare you. In my heart, you will always be my wife.”
After saying that, Fu Shen took out a necklace from around his neck.
It was the wedding ring I had left on the dining table two years ago.
Only then did I notice that Fu Shen was also wearing our wedding ring on his ring finger.
Honestly, it was quite disgusting.
“Fu Shen, we ended things two years ago, and I hope you won’t continue to pester me. Don’t make me lose respect for you.”
