Chapter 11
Chapter 11
“Impossible!”
Shen Jincheng was livid. “How hard do you think it was for a girl from the countryside to get into a top university? You’re demanding her admission notice just like that-how is that any different from destroying her future? Xu Chunyan, you are truly heartless!”
I looked at Shen Jincheng with cold eyes.
Whether in my past life or this one, I was never his first choice.
He was always Bai Hezhi’s backbone, supporting her and protecting her.
I nodded with a smile and gave him a thumbs-up. “Very good. A devoted lover, indeed.”
I turned my gaze to Bai Hezhi. “Xiao Bai, you’re a good student, so why don’t we do a little math together? You’re nineteen this year, which means you were eighteen when you were pregnant with Yuqing. Since it’s rare to get pregnant on the first try, tell me-were you even an adult when your Teacher Shen was sleeping with you?”
I smiled as I asked Shen Jincheng, “Teacher Shen, you’re an educated man. Isn’t it a crime to have a relationship with a female student who is under eighteen?”
Panic flickered in Shen Jincheng’s eyes. “Nonsense! Xiao Bai was already an adult when we got together! Believe it or not, I don’t care.”
“Oh, I believe you.”
I clapped my hands and laughed. “Of course I believe you. I’d believe anything you say, Teacher Shen. But I’m afraid your school leadership won’t believe it, the Education Bureau won’t believe it, and Xiao Bai’s university professors won’t believe it either.”
At that moment, Bai Hezhi fell to her knees with a thud.
Clutching the baby in one arm, she held a pair of scissors to her own neck with the other. Her expression was one of desperate resolve. “If I can’t go to university, I’d rather die with this child! Teacher’s wife, isn’t my life what you want? Fine, I’ll give it to you!”
Seeing the situation take a turn, Lu Junrong started to stand up.
I shook my head at him, signaling that he didn’t need to interfere.
Meanwhile, Shen Jincheng lunged forward, snatching the scissors from Bai Hezhi’s hand and pulling the girl tightly into his arms. “Don’t do anything foolish.”
As he spoke, Shen Jincheng turned to glare at me. His eyes were filled with such pure malice it felt like he wanted to devour me whole.
“Xu Chunyan, you really are wicked. You’re going to drive someone to their grave.”
I let out a cold laugh. “If she actually had the guts to commit suicide, I might admire her for having a shred of shame. Unfortunately, she’s too selfish. She doesn’t dare.”
