I escaped from the Tiger Enclosure.

The next destination was the Peacock Enclosure.

Junior Brother popped up again. “Want a fortune told? Streamer, the second reading is half price.”

I said, “Just one reading, that saves me 250.”

He replied, “No can do. There are two rules in this enclosure.”

Streamer: [Looks like I have no choice but to pay for both.]

I was on the verge of tears.

This was my first time paying someone live on stream.

I sent another 750.

Shan Yuan began reciting the rules, “Don’t look at the displaying peacocks.”

I asked, “What happens if I do?”

“…You become part of the display.”

He continued, “Second rule: Don’t accept the courtship of a Male Peacock.”

I put on my sunglasses and swaggered past.

But someone stopped me.

He was very good-looking. Pale skin, emerald eyes, an exotic allure.

He gave me a wicked smile. “The more I look at you, the more I dislike you. You’re so charming, I can’t get enough.”

He leaned against the wall with one hand. “My sweet words are stolen, but my feelings for you are real.”

I wanted to pour dish soap on him, but didn’t have any.

I rummaged through my bag, pulled out some oil blotting paper, and threw it at him.

He let out a shriek and turned back into a Male Peacock:

“I don’t believe anyone wouldn’t like me! No one can resist my charm!”

Then, he fanned his tail.

Eyes-each feather had an eye.

Every single eye was winking at me.

My stomach churned; I was about to puke.

I turned on my phone’s flashlight and shone it at him.

He cursed and ran off, “Have some decency! Who shines a spotlight in a male celebrity’s eyes!”
