Three Years of Silent Chase - Chapter 1
To break up with Kingsley, I suggested playing a game.
“Pretend to break up and block each other, then I’ll act like a little puppy chasing after you!”
“Remember to act aloof!”
He snorted coldly, nodding with hidden delight.
After seizing the opportunity to break up, I went abroad as I wished and didn’t contact him for a full three years.
Until the variety show.
Someone gossiped, asking Kingsley, who had become a top star in the entertainment industry.
“Mr. Young, you’ve been single for so long, what kind of person do you like?”
Kingsley’s dark eyes locked onto me:
“Who told you I’m single?”
“She just hasn’t come back to chase me in these three years, that’s all.”
I often wondered what it would be like to see Kingsley again.
Perhaps one day on the street, each of us with a new lover, passing by with a polite “long time no see.”
Or maybe Kingsley would still remember me, giving me no friendly face, treating me like a stranger.
But what I never expected!
The scene turned out to be after I had worked overtime for three days, with unwashed hair, no makeup, and at my most disheveled.
The sky was falling!
He was glamorous in front of the camera.
I was cowering behind it.
When I saw his gaze sweep over, I quickly covered my face and squatted down.
Don’t ask, because I need to save face.
When it rains, it pours.
Just as I squatted down, the new assistant excitedly shouted in my ear.
“Director Rossi, everyone is here, we can start now!”
All eyes in the villa turned to me.
Including Kingsley’s.
My vision went dark as I met his deep black eyes.
The tall, exquisite man’s expression instantly turned gloomy.
He suddenly stood up from the sofa.
“Sienna Rossi, you…”
I made a quick decision and shouted, “Action!”
His forward steps halted.
The warm-up host reacted quickly and went to hold Kingsley back.
Speaking with enthusiasm, as if he had just arrived, a few people exchanged words.
The reality show of stars traveling together began just like that.
The live broadcast was filled with fans’ heartfelt confessions.
[Ahhhh! My King truly has a face of a lifetime, even if he’s grumpy, he’s still so handsome!]
[He’s as aloof as ever, hahaha, if he’s not pulling a long face, he’s on his way to one.]
Some fans from other camps couldn’t stand it and mocked.
[Ha, who is he showing that long face to during a variety show recording? Who owes him anything?]
[If you don’t like it, you can leave. He’s the heir of J Group, half of the entertainment industry belongs to his family, he has the right to that long face!]
[Exactly! If you have the guts, tell your idol not to eat from the entertainment industry’s bowl!]
Watching the bickering comments, my gaze drifted.
The Kingsley Young of the past, though born into a wealthy family, had no trace of a spoiled brat.
Just like his name, he was bright and dazzling.
It’s been three years since we last met.
Many things are different from three years ago.
Even he has changed a lot.
I was still lost in memories when the assistant gently nudged my arm.
Mouthing a reminder: “The highlight is coming.”
Looking up, I saw the host Simon clenching his fist, raising it in front of Kingsley.
With an ambiguous smile, he asked, “Mr. Young, you’ve been single for so long, what kind of person do you like?”
“This is the question your fans most want to know, so I’m asking on their behalf. Don’t be mad at me.”
The comments exploded, everyone wanted to know Kingsley’s criteria for a partner.
But Kingsley has always had a bad temper, no one could predict if he’d play along.
Yet today, Kingsley seemed to be in a good mood.
He actually chuckled and responded.
“Who told you I’m single?”
Everyone present and the fans were stunned: “What?”
Even my heart skipped a beat.
But then Kingsley lifted his eyes, his dark gaze openly locking onto me.
He softly said, “It’s just been three years, and she hasn’t come back to chase me yet.”
In that moment, my heart pounded wildly.
Someone in the comments asked: [Three years? Doesn’t that mean… he got dumped?]
