Summary
Jiang Qingye has wanted to overthrow the throne since childhood. When her elder sister’s reckless attempt to seduce Regent Zhou Ting’an nearly gets her killed, Qingye offers to marry him instead. She sees a chance to turn a reluctant regent into an emperor and settle a blood debt with the ruler of Longnan. Zhou Ting’an seems more interested in osmanthus cakes than rebellion, but Qingye soon discovers he has watched her far more closely than she knew.
