I dropped Lu Tong off at her home.

But I dismissed the idea of going inside.

Perhaps it was the way Lu Tong stared at me in the car that made me feel really uncomfortable.

“The company has an urgent matter, I need to go back.”

“I probably won’t be coming back.”

I stood at the door.

Lu Tong didn’t even pause while changing her shoes, just responded with a simple “Mm.”

I frowned.

My hand on the door remained open.

Lu Tong looked back at me in confusion, “Don’t you have something to do?”

For a moment, I was a bit unsure.

Unsure if she was urging me to leave because the company really had something urgent, or if she just wanted me to go.

“If it’s not urgent, go tomorrow. It’s already late.”

Lu Tong asked me.

I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Jiang Yu had called me several times.

It was only when I got into the elevator that I found the time to reply to her, “You go take a shower first.”

I loosened the top few buttons of my shirt.

Originally, I had planned to spend the evening with Lu Tong.

Jiang Yu was too captivating.

Unlike Lu Tong, who was always so indifferent.

Afterwards, I leaned against the headboard.

As if guided by some unseen force, I clicked on Lu Tong’s profile picture.

Lu Tong’s social media had been updated to something I had never seen before.

I took a deep drag of my cigarette.

Jiang Yu lay on my chest, her doe-like eyes staring at the screen with me.

“Is Lu Tong-Jie¹ cycling?”

“Looks like she’s in a cycling club?”

Jiang Yu asked me.

I didn’t understand these things, so I asked offhandedly, “What’s the matter?”

Jiang Yu said the cycling circles were quite chaotic.

I snorted.

How chaotic could they be?
