The Little Spoiled Brat Divorces with a Child, Driving the Big Boss Crazy - Chapter 63
Chapter 63
For the umpteenth time, Lu Ying blocked and deleted the contact Jin Beizhou had added back.
It was her phone. She was the one in charge.
Jin Beizhou walked with both hands in his pockets. His custom-tailored suit made his already outstanding figure look even more perfect.
“Lu Yingying.” He calmly followed as she strode away so fast she was practically a blur. “You really have gained weight. Even more weight.”
“…”
Jin Beizhou continued, “I’ve never approved of you dieting, but the fact that you’re willing to let yourself gain weight in spring makes me wonder whether you’ve been eating livestock feed…”
Lu Ying whipped around.
Jin Beizhou immediately shut his mouth.
A moment later, his bluster faded. “Why are you so fierce? A little extra softness looks good. I’m only worried it’s stress weight. If you’re under pressure, you can come to me and work it off…”
“Relieve your damn self!” Lu Ying swore. “If you have that much time, go play little tadpole and search for your mommy!”
“…” Jin Beizhou was seized by the inexplicable urge to laugh. “Why do you keep poking at my wounds?”
Lu Ying said, “I’m afraid you aren’t wounded enough!”
Why couldn’t this monster simply be hurt to death?
Jin Beizhou abruptly caught her forearm and couldn’t resist giving it a squeeze. “You really are soft and plump…” It felt wonderful. He wanted to kiss a red mark onto her skin.
He didn’t dare voice the second half.
Lu Ying had reached the limit of her patience. “I never go back to an ex. If I love someone, I love them properly. If I break up with them, I leave properly.”
“…”
“If you claim you love me and can’t live without me,” Lu Ying said sharply, “then suffer on your own. I have no responsibility to respond to your feelings, and you have even less right to touch me.”
Then she enunciated, “If you’re the one who loves, then you’re choosing to debase yourself as the weaker party. Please bear every bit of that pain yourself.”
“…” Jin Beizhou tugged at the corner of his mouth. “Am I not even allowed to treat you well?”
“That’s your problem to solve,” Lu Ying replied cold-bloodedly. “I have no obligation to respond. Even if I use you or scheme against you, you should look within yourself for the reason and take responsibility for it.”
Jin Beizhou’s brow lifted slightly.
Lu Ying continued, “But you’d better stop bothering me. Go find those friends and family who won’t distance themselves from you just because they have partners of their own. Understand?”
Jin Beizhou offered no comment.
Those were the very words he had once said to Lu Ying.
Now she had returned them to him, dripping with blood.
She knew perfectly well he had no friends or family.
She wanted him to hurt.
Jin Beizhou accepted all of it.
He deserved it.
Once she had vented her anger, Lu Ying marched away without another word.
Jin Beizhou watched her lovely figure and called softly, “Lu Ying.”
Lu Ying paused briefly.
In a cool, neutral voice, Jin Beizhou asked, “If you’d learned sooner that I was an orphan…”
“I never would have chosen you, much less married you,” Lu Ying said without turning around. “A prospective husband’s family background is my first criterion when choosing a partner. You deceived me about that. You tricked me into this marriage.”
The corner of Jin Beizhou’s lips lifted faintly, lifeless and numb.
Lu Ying and Chen Qi left the reception early.
News of Jin Beizhou’s background had already spread. Every business leader attending the reception was shrewd. Their manners remained flawless to his face, but the moment they turned away, their gazes changed.
Jin Beizhou knew.
He simply didn’t care.
His heart was too shattered to feel anything.
Of all the childhood friends who had once surrounded him as the Second Young Master of the Jin Family, only Hu Chuang remained at his side now.
Hu Chuang spent the entire reception cursing. “Fuck these opportunistic bastards…”
“Let’s go.” Jin Beizhou remained unmoved. “I’m going back to the office to organize the orders.”
Hu Chuang exclaimed, “Fuck, aren’t you going to sleep? How many days has it been since you slept?”
Jin Beizhou strode toward the exit.
The parking lot was filled with luxury cars. Jin Beizhou had switched to a Cadillac, far more understated than the cars he used to drive.
Before he could get in, several people approached him head-on.
Among them were Jiao An and Luo Xing, two more of Jin Beizhou’s childhood friends.
Hu Chuang opened his mouth and cursed, “Are you two human beings or animals?!”
Luo Xing had always gone wherever the wind blew, so he remained silent.
Jiao An’s expression was arrogant. “We’re not worthy of associating with the Second Young Master. Childhood friends have to belong to the same circle, after all…”
“Fuck your mother!” Hu Chuang swore. “You’d better pray you never fall into our hands for the rest of your life…”
“Chuangzi, let me give you some friendly advice,” Jiao An said leisurely. “Distance yourself from him early. Be careful, or you’ll get dragged into the mud too.”
At those words, Hu Chuang lunged forward to hit him.
At the last possible instant, Jin Beizhou caught his shoulder and said mildly, “Let’s go.”
“I can’t swallow this anger!”
“Then go back to the Arctic and hunt seals.” Jin Beizhou released him and got into the car. “If you don’t interact with people, you’ll be able to tolerate it.”
“…”
The scene froze for several seconds.
Hu Chuang exhaled heavily and threw down a final challenge. “We’ll see who has the last laugh!”
The next second, a can of beer flew from some unknown corner and struck the Cadillac’s windshield with a clang.
Beer fizzed and streamed down the glass.
Jiao An burst out laughing.
Before Hu Chuang could start swearing, Jin Beizhou was already out of the car. “Sit tight. Don’t get out.”
The beer can belonged to Wang Shao, who had suffered at Jin Beizhou’s hands before.
Wang Shao smiled smugly. “Second Young Master, send me your payment code. I’ll transfer twice the repair cost to you…”
Thud!
A fist slammed into the bones of his cheek.
Wang Shao’s head snapped sideways, and he cried out involuntarily.
Jin Beizhou seized his clothes, bent one knee, and drove it viciously into his abdomen.
Wang Shao spat out a mouthful of blood.
The parking garage fell deathly silent. Only Wang Shao’s agonized wails remained.
Jin Beizhou planted a leather shoe on his abdomen and ground down hard. His voice was clear and calm. “Even if I fell into a cesspit, it still wouldn’t be your turn to humiliate me.”
“F-fuck…” Wang Shao struggled desperately. “You’ve lost your identity as the Second Young Master of the Jin Family. You’d better not offend me…”
With the Wang Family’s background, crushing Jin Beizhou would now be effortless.
Jin Beizhou wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, a wicked look in his eyes. “Your mother had you with your eldest uncle. Your father still doesn’t know, does he?”
“…”
The entire scene instantly froze.
“Young Master Wang.” Jin Beizhou was smiling, yet he looked as sinister as a demon. “Why don’t you ask around? Is there a single dirty secret among Beicheng’s wealthy families that I don’t know?”
Wang Shao’s face turned deathly pale.
“I love gossip more than anything. I spent years working myself to the bone for the Jin Family,” Jin Beizhou said lazily. “You could say I left with nothing. But I did take one thing with me: certain videos and recordings, some important and some trivial. Would you like to watch them together?”
“…”
Jin Beizhou suddenly stomped down, brutally kicking out two of Wang Shao’s front teeth.
Wang Shao’s screams echoed throughout the parking garage.
“All right.” Jin Beizhou sounded amused. “We’ll call that double the repair cost.”
With that, he looked down at Wang Shao as though he were a pile of garbage, his hair not even out of place.
Hu Chuang grew impatient and honked the horn.
Jin Beizhou climbed back into the car without expression.
Hu Chuang clutched his chest theatrically. “The way you beat him just now was more terrifying than a demon. Even Jiao An looked scared.”
That part was true.
The brutality and pressure Jin Beizhou had unleashed in that moment were enough to force fear from anyone.
Hu Chuang asked, “Is there anyone who isn’t afraid of you?”
Jin Beizhou replied without expression, “Of course. At the reception just now, there was a certain little softy who called me every insult she could think of.”
“…”
Fuck.
He should try calling Lu Ying a “little softy” to her face!
