- Chapter 39 - Fulfill Your Duty
Uncle had always treated her well, and she wouldn’t allow anyone to speak ill of him-nobody could.
Disgusting?
Perfect. She used another revolting word to describe him.
Li Juefeng, his hand pressed against her back, pulling her toward himself, mocked her with his gaze fixed on the bright kiss marks on her chest, articulating each word, “Gu Xiaoai, stop pretending to be so noble. If you were truly virtuous, you wouldn’t be lying beneath me, moaning so enticingly.”
His words were blunt and straightforward.
With just one sentence, he completely shattered her.
Gu Xiaoai’s face turned paler by the second, and she found herself unable to retort.
He was right. If she were noble, if she were virtuous, she wouldn’t stay by his side as his mistress…
She was simply a woman without shame.
“Yes, I am as filthy as you.” After a while, Gu Xiaoai managed a self-mocking smile, “But my uncle is a good man. He would be heartbroken if he knew I had become someone’s mistress.”
Li Juefeng’s face still wore a disdainful sneer.
Gu Xiaoai added, her face pale, “Just don’t let him find out, and I can stay quietly until you tire of me.”
That was her bottom line… She was already so compromised; she didn’t want to cause her uncle any more worry or sadness.
Her pale, resigned face seemed to block his heart.
She didn’t curse him out…
She actually said she would stay quietly until he tired of playing with her.
Suddenly, Li Juefeng’s anger inexplicably faded, replaced by another annoyance. He hated how she belittled herself more than he despised her verbal abuses.
“Fine, then fulfill your duty.” Li Juefeng said decisively, hoisting her over his shoulder and heading to the bedroom.
Gu Xiaoai stared blankly at the floor, her body sold to the devil, her self-esteem tossed into the trash… She wondered if she could ever retrieve it in her lifetime.
…
In the morning, as she poked her head out from the warm covers, Gu Xiaoai glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside table-she had missed her work time again, and she wondered how worried her uncle must be.
Trying to sit up and get dressed, she found her body felt as if it had fallen apart.
Gu Xiaoai couldn’t fathom where Li Juefeng got such relentless energy.
A CEO of a major company, busy to the point of exhaustion with daily affairs, yet still possessing such stamina in bed-she couldn’t withstand it; she was completely at his mercy, paralyzed on the bed.
