After watching the surveillance footage, Wilder’s face turned dark. He went into the bathroom and brushed for a long time, but when he came out, he didn’t say a word of thanks.

He said he wanted to completely sever ties with me.

“Okay.”

Wilder stared at me, covering his lips as he leaned back: “Anything but kissing.”

I replied straightforwardly, “Shaw Group is hiring an intern secretary, and I want to work there part-time.”

Wilder’s expression flickered: “Just that?”

“Yes, my family situation isn’t good, and I need money. Once I join Shaw Group, I will work hard.”

“As for my abilities, you don’t need to worry too much. Here’s my resume.”

With that, I handed my resume to Wilder. His face showed a flash of surprise, but he quickly calmed down, somewhat gritting his teeth.

“Fine, once you start working at Shaw Group, we’re done. Completely.”

I lightly responded with a “hmm.”
