Sister Huang was giving Xu Qingye a full-body examination.
While I was waiting with them, I saw Cheng Qianyi.
“Sister Huang, I’m going to the restroom.”
“Okay.”
I followed Cheng Qianyi up to the top floor’s VIP Ward.
I’ve always carried a palm-sized Swiss Army Knife in my bag.
Liang Siyue put it there.
“You’re pretty. In the business world, you’ll inevitably encounter people with bad intentions. Keep it with you.”
I never expected it would actually come in handy today.
My mom and Cheng Qianyi were both there, and Cheng Cheng was lying on the hospital bed, his face bruised and swollen.
My appearance surprised all three of them.
Cheng Qianyi said indignantly, “Lin Tingwan, what are you doing here?”
Cheng Cheng looked at me sideways. “So you know to beg me now?”
My mom stood beside them, silent.
When I pulled the knife from my bag, Cheng Qianyi screamed.
The ruthless energy surging through me was something they couldn’t hold back.
If I wasn’t ruthless, I’d lose this game.
The tip of the knife pressed hard against Cheng Cheng’s neck, and blood appeared instantly.
No matter how Cheng Qianyi pulled at me, she couldn’t budge me.
“Lin Tingwan! Do you dare?”
Cheng Cheng shouted, trying to suppress his fear.
The knife tip pressed down further, and the smell of blood spread.
I sneered, “I’ve got nothing left anyway. Why not take you with me!”
I raised the knife high in my hand.
Gritting my teeth, I made a motion as if to stab down fiercely.
“Lin Tingwan!!!”
No one could hold me back.
“You can have the project!”
As soon as he shouted this, terror swept over him and he began to tremble.
The tip of the knife stopped just at his throat.
“I want the video!”
“The video’s gone, the computer broke and it wasn’t saved.”
I aimed the knife at his eyes.
“The truth! It’s the truth!”
Security arrived.
Xu Qingye and Sister Huang came too.
Xu Qingye pulled me into his arms.
He was shaking, and so was I.
“I won, Xu Qingye.”
“Yeah.”
Xu Qinghuang leaned against the wall. “Nice work.”
“This Sister-in-law is mine, Xu Qingye. If you can’t marry her, I’ll just get another brother.”
