Seven Years of Lies, I Ruined His Life - Chapter 14
Lately, Yu Qing had been contacting me more frequently.
She was unhappy at work, often getting ostracized by her colleagues.
I was surprised.
Yu Qing had high emotional intelligence and was beautiful.
Both were women in their thirties, but Guan Qin’s waist was at least twice as thick as Yu Qing’s.
When she had told me her husband found her unattractive, I could hardly believe it.
Yu Qing teased me, “Aren’t you men all the same? ‘A wife is not as good as a concubine, and a concubine is not as good as a stolen affair.'”
I paid a visit to the mall where Yu Qing worked.
Both Yu Qing and I were high school graduates.
We had planned to go to the city to work together and never went back to school.
When I arranged the job for her, I asked a friend to set her up as a store manager in the mall.
Her performance had always been excellent.
Now she was in charge of several stores.
She pursed her lips, looking melancholic. “But at the end of the day, I’m still working for someone else.”
I understood what Yu Qing meant.
She wanted to be her own boss.
During dinner that night, Yu Qing kept pouring me drinks, giving me hints.
Over these few years, Yu Qing and I had come to understand each other more and more.
Even though we weren’t a couple, she could always immediately sense my moods and needs.
Knowing that I was wary because we were both married, she never brought up such things.
But this time, she was unusually proactive.
This was the second time Yu Qing and I slept together.
I admit, my feelings for Yu Qing were different, at least different from those one-night stands I had for show.
