When I walked out of Gu Yan’s office, I happened to see Hu Feier and Liang Chen leaving one after the other.

I followed them to the emergency stairwell a few floors down from the company.

Hu Feier glanced around, making sure no one was there.

Then she crossed her arms over her chest, her face full of displeasure as she snapped at Liang Chen.

“What exactly are you doing? I just asked you to seduce her, to create some evidence.”

“Now you’re following her to our company-what are you trying to do?”

“Do you know how hard I work every day for our future? Why can’t you even handle this little thing?”

Liang Chen stood there calmly.

He let out a cold snort.

“Hard? Yeah, you’re working real hard, your chest is practically pressed up against his face.”

He stepped closer, flicking at the open button on her shirt.

His face was full of contempt.

“Liang Chen, what do you mean by that?”

“Hu Feier, you said before you were just playing along with him, but now I’m starting to think you’re actually enjoying it.”

“First you were making out with him right downstairs from his building, and today you practically climbed onto his lap.”

“I have every reason to suspect that all those late nights you said you were working overtime at the company-just where were you working, and with whom?”

What followed Liang Chen’s words was a loud slap.

In the emergency stairwell, their voices were low but the words grew uglier and uglier.

I stood outside the door, watching it all coldly.
