Chapter 5
When Genevieve walked in, I almost didn’t recognize her. Was this really my tomboyish childhood friend?
Not only had she grown her hair long, but she also had it styled in big waves, and her eyebrows and eyes were meticulously outlined.
I exaggeratedly widened my eyes and said, “Beauty, who are you?”
Genevieve rolled her eyes at me.
Tommy, however, seemed very familiar with her, and immediately rushed over, calling out, “Auntie Gen.”
Genevieve patted Tommy’s little head and said to me, “Let’s go upstairs and talk.”
I quickly led her to the bedroom, and before she could speak, I hurriedly explained the whole situation.
After listening, Genevieve frowned and scrutinized me, posing a soul-searching question: “How do you know you’ve traveled through time and not just lost your memory?”
Well…
“I remember the last meal before traveling was tomato-braised beef brisket at the school cafeteria, it was delicious!”
“…”
“I remember taking an exam two days before traveling, I even remember the questions. If I really lost my memory, I wouldn’t remember such details for ten years.”
Genevieve raised an eyebrow but still said nothing.
She knows me as well as she knows herself.
I bit my lip in embarrassment and said, “Okay, the day before, I had just accepted Gavin’s confession.”
Genevieve’s mouth immediately drooped, and she let out a cold laugh.
Then she started to tell me everything that had happened over the past ten years.
