Chapter 16
After arriving home, I thought it was a good time to talk to Jonathan.
He immediately said, “I still have work at the company, I’ll head back first.”
Not so fast. At my command, Tommy rushed over and hugged his dad’s leg tightly.
Jonathan frowned and said, “If it’s about the divorce, at least don’t talk about it in front of Tommy.”
I rolled my eyes and dragged him into the room.
Turning around, I pinned him against the door.
The way he had just played the hero was somewhat charming to me.
I looked up and called to him softly, “Honey~”
Jonathan’s eyebrows didn’t move a bit, but his face turned as red as a steamed crab.
My face also felt hot, and I cleared my throat lightly before starting to explain the time-travel situation.
After a while, he said, “Although it’s a bit hard to believe, it’s a reasonable explanation. Since Tommy’s birthday, I’ve noticed, and I thought your softened attitude was because…”
Jonathan’s voice trailed off.
“Because you wanted to divorce me?”
“Yeah.”
“Seems like I treated you quite poorly before. So, what was that thing Genevieve mentioned about catching someone in the act, and Tommy, he…”
“Tommy is undoubtedly my child. As for the past, having no memory of it isn’t necessarily a bad thing for you.”
“Honey, couples should be honest with each other~”
After I said this, Jonathan adjusted his glasses in a flustered manner and confessed everything.
So, the word “Honey” is like a magic key for this reserved man, isn’t it?
