Chapter 4
Amelia’s first love was her boyfriend from college.
The summer after the college entrance exams, when the acceptance letters had just arrived, a senior organized a group chat for students from the same area.
Before the semester started, the senior suggested everyone meet up for a meal to get acquainted.
It was during that gathering that Amelia fell in love at first sight with her first love.
Unlike me, who tends to overthink things, Amelia was straightforward and immediately expressed her feelings to her first love after the gathering.
A woman pursuing a man is like a veil separating them.
From the start of the semester, they were the model couple, envied by others.
They were together for four years, and since they were from the same area, even their parents met.
Amelia’s first love treated her exceptionally well, to the point of having no limits.
So even after they parted ways, Amelia still couldn’t forget him and hasn’t moved on from that past relationship.
Logically, such unforgettable affection shouldn’t lead to a breakup.
But this is someone else’s heartbreak, and Amelia never told me the reason for their breakup. As an outsider, it’s not my place to ask. I figured she would tell me when she was ready.
I just didn’t expect her to confide in me about the reason today.
She said, “I was the one who initiated the breakup. But as soon as I did, I regretted it.”
