Chapter 2
I was once head-over-heels for Cheng Yedu.
I first saw him when he brought his younger cousin to my physics tutoring session.
I was completely floored by his face.
How could a guy my age be that handsome?
He was over six feet tall with long, thick eyelashes. Every expression was full of charm, and his nose had a bridge you could practically slide down, no exaggeration.
I’d seen plenty of guys. My university major had 50 students, 47 of whom were men.
But standing next to this guy, my classmates in their white T-shirts looked like a row of potatoes.
I asked his cousin, “What’s your brother’s name? Send me his contact info. Can he bring you next time?”
The cousin deadpanned, “You’re the third tutor to ask me that.”
I said, “Is he always this responsible with you? He’s going to be a great dad someday.”
The cousin just stared at me.
…
The beginning of our relationship was a product of my relentless pursuit and his reluctant acceptance.
To this day, I’m still not sure why he said yes.
He clearly didn’t like me that much.
Maybe he was just bored. Maybe he was impressed by my fierce, unwavering chase.
Or maybe he just didn’t want to lose the physics tutor who finally got his cousin to pass the class.
The day I first kissed him, I felt like the heavens had blessed me. I was finally the heroine of the teen dramas I’d dreamed of being.
The day I slept with him, I swore that if I ever got rich, I’d donate five million to children in need.
Oh, mom, the world truly loves me.
