Chapter 6
A little after four in the afternoon, after the car twisted and turned through countless bends, it finally stopped in a secluded mountain forest.
Looking around, all I could see were towering ancient trees, and the grass nearby was taller than a person.
Lin Xian asked, “Do you like it? This is my secret base that I discovered by accident. You’re the first girl I’ve ever brought here.”
I nodded, excitement lighting up my face. “I love it! It’s so beautiful here!”
No wonder he didn’t tell me in advance where we were going.
He said he wanted to give me a surprise.
A place like this-never mind shady dealings.
Even if someone committed murder and dumped a body, no one would ever find out.
After we got out of the car, we started setting up the tent and sorting our things.
As we busied ourselves, suddenly, a shrill cry for help came from the distance.
“Help! Please help us! Is anyone there?”
That voice was full of panic, growing more urgent with every shout.
Very quickly, everyone else heard it too.
Little Fatty stopped what he was doing, asking in confusion, “Brother Xian, isn’t this place supposed to be deserted?”
Lin Xian frowned, glancing into the depths of the woods.
He pondered for a moment, then said in a low voice, “Let’s go, have a look.”
Houzi hesitated. “Maybe… maybe we shouldn’t go. It sounds creepy. What if it’s haunted?”
At his words, I couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s broad daylight, where would ghosts come from? Besides, there’s no such thing as ghosts!”
Mocked by me, Houzi looked embarrassed.
He glared at me.
He wanted to say something but held himself back.
In the end, Cheng Mingliang suggested, “What are we afraid of? There’s a bunch of us. Let’s go see, just in case someone really needs help!”
After he spoke, no one objected.
So, we all followed the sound, searching ahead.
After walking for over ten minutes, we really did see figures in the distance.
Pushing through a thick patch of woods, we spotted three women lying on the grass not far away.
Although their faces were a bit dirty, it was clear that each one was an absolute beauty.
All three had oval faces, big eyes, porcelain-pale skin, and slender figures.
One of them looked a bit older, probably around thirty.
The other two seemed about my age, around twenty.
As we drew closer, everyone was stunned into silence.
“How could there be such beautiful women in the depths of these mountains? Are we really seeing ghosts?”
“Ghosts? Nonsense! This is the heavens sending us a blessing!”
“Damn! Those chests, those waists-so hot! I can hardly stand it…”
I turned to look at my companions.
Lin Xian and Cheng Mingliang’s eyes were glazed over, clearly entranced.
As for Little Fatty and Houzi, they rushed straight over.
“Are you alright? What happened?”
As they helped the women up, their lecherous gazes lingered over the trio.
Since it was midsummer, the three women weren’t wearing much.
Their thin summer dresses were already soaked through, outlining their alluring curves for all to see.
Seeing people approach, the women lifted their heads.
Their fair, delicate faces were full of panic, looking both pitiable and heartbreakingly lovely.
“Please help us, there was a snake-we were almost bitten by a snake…”
