Chapter 5

Two days later, Lin Xian came to pick me up at the agreed location.

Today, he was driving a Hummer.

His hair was slicked back.

Dressed in black off-road gear, paired with cool sunglasses.

He looked both handsome and flamboyant.

Once in the car, I glanced at the back seat.

There were five people in total today.

Besides Lin Xian and me.

In the back sat Little Fatty, Lin Xian’s other follower Houzi.

And, unexpectedly.

-Our class monitor, Cheng Mingliang.

Cheng Mingliang was refined and handsome.

Not only was he good academically, but he often helped classmates proactively.

He was the teacher’s model student.

I remembered that usually in class, he rarely hung out with Lin Xian and his group.

I wondered why he was here today.

As soon as I fastened my seatbelt, Cheng Mingliang handed me a bottle of drink and a bag of bread.

“Here, have some if you get hungry on the way.”

“Thank you, Class Monitor, you’re so kind.”

As soon as I spoke, Little Fatty couldn’t help but chime in.

“She Jing, why do you only praise the Class Monitor? Aren’t we good too? By the way, you look really beautiful today, and you smell nice!”

I shyly lowered my head with a smile, “Thank you.”

Houzi added, “Brother Xian is really lucky to have found a girlfriend as pretty as She Jing. I wonder when I’ll have such luck?”

As he spoke, his gaze subtly drifted towards my chest.

Excitedly, he couldn’t help but swallow.

In the front, Lin Xian was driving while glancing at the rearview mirror, exchanging a knowing look with Houzi.

He laughed, “What’s the rush? Maybe you’ll find one soon. Jingjing, don’t you think?”

I nodded, “Yeah, maybe you’ll find one today.”

“Today? How is that possible? That place doesn’t even have a ghost!”

Houzi realized his slip and quickly corrected himself, “Yeah, maybe tonight I’ll find someone, haha…”

As he spoke, he seemed to think of something.

Suddenly, he laughed even louder.

Beside him, Little Fatty, Cheng Mingliang, and Lin Xian joined in the laughter.

Amidst the laughter, the car gradually drove out of the city and into the desolate mountains.
