Chapter 1
Shen Yuxiu got out of bed with a dark face, turning his back to me as he put on his clothes, the marks I left still visible on his back.
From getting dressed to walking out the door, he didn’t say another word to me.
I looked at his departing figure in confusion, not knowing why he was suddenly so angry.
Could it be he thought I was too greedy?
Well, one should always be content with what they have.
I hesitated for a few minutes, torn between calling him to apologize or just leaving him alone, and finally decided to put down my phone.
A sensible lover shouldn’t meddle too much in her sugar daddy’s private life-it’s easy to become a nuisance.
Barefoot, I walked into the living room, where several Hermès bags were lying on the sofa.
Shen Yuxiu had brought them back from a business trip to France-special editions only available there, not yet released here.
I picked out my favorite one, took photos of the rest, and sent them to [Sister Zhang, Bag Resale] in my contacts, with a note: [Brand new, with receipt.]
She quickly replied with the prices.
My eyes lit up. I couldn’t afford a Rolls-Royce Phantom, but the basic model was definitely within reach.
I didn’t have the habit of collecting designer bags.
To me, they were no different from bags worth a few dozen yuan, unless I needed one for a special occasion to look the part-I wouldn’t bother carrying them otherwise.
But Shen Yuxiu just loved giving them. Every year, the latest models would be delivered to me. Occasionally, he’d bring some back from business trips abroad.
This year, he switched to gifting cash instead, letting the money sit in my bank account and generate more, making better use of it than letting it gather dust.
I put the bags away and went to sleep, feeling content.
I slept soundly through the night, not caring at all where Shen Yuxiu had gone.
