Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The livestream was still going. As soon as the five hundred yuan hit Xie Xu’s phone, the netizens completely lost their minds:
[I knew it! I knew these two were real!]
[Xiao Huai really loves him so much. He’s declaring ownership.]
[Xiao Huai’s new character setting: a scheming 0.]
[I’ll pay five hundred. Can I join you guys?]
…
Once someone gets popular, their history gets dug up.
Someone immediately posted an interview of mine from years ago in the comments.
In the video, the host asked me, “What is your favorite sport?”
After thinking for a moment, I answered, “Fencing.”
Not long after, the trending searches updated.
#Xiao Huai Loves Fencing# shot past #Xie Xu Xiao Huai Whos the 1 and Whos the 0# and #Xie Xu Fifty a Night# to take the number-one spot.
Chapter 5
The livestream ended soon after, and Xie Xu won the prank game with a dark expression on his face.
Just then, my phone screen lit up. The three words “Crybaby Xie” were displayed on it in glaring clarity.
I answered the call. “Hello, Mr. Best Actor. What can I do for you?”
A low voice came from the other end. “Xiao Huai, I was on a livestream just now.”
Generally speaking, he would call me “ge.” If he used my full name, it meant he was in a bad mood.
I could already picture that exquisitely handsome face of his clouded over like a stormy sky.
But he had always had a good temper. Even when he was unhappy, he liked to bottle it up inside, let alone scold me at a time like this.
I deliberately gasped in surprise and said teasingly,
“Oh? So all the guests heard our conversation?”
“I didn’t know you were livestreaming either. I thought you really were short on that five hundred.”
“No, no, this won’t do. How could I possibly tarnish the great Best Actor’s reputation?”
“What should we do? Do you want me to release a statement clarifying our relationship?”
…
My rapid-fire barrage of words left Xie Xu defeated.
A few seconds later, his voice softened a little. “It’s fine. We’ll listen to PR when the time comes.”
I immediately made my stance clear. “Okay! I’ll definitely cooperate!”
Xie Xu sighed softly.
After hanging up, I called my manager back at lightning speed.
“Brother Jia, if Xie Xu’s side wants to do PR, absolutely do not cooperate!”
“Ideally, do the exact opposite of whatever they do!”
Brother Jia chuckled a few times. “Got it. With that little scheme of yours, do you really think I’d ruin your fun?”
