I quickly adjusted my state of mind and devoted myself wholeheartedly to work.
I proactively applied for a week-long business trip, immersing myself in busyness to fill the void.
In truth, no one is indispensable to another. I believe that even without Duan Chen, I can live perfectly well.
The reality is, I still appear polished on the surface, but loneliness always creeps in silently through the cracks, seeping into every inch of my bones.
This won’t do, so I must actively begin to save myself.
I decided to let go of Duan Chen, to let go of this ten-year-long, hidden and unspoken crush.
And to throw myself into a new romance.
