Chapter 10
Last time in the car, we were just passionately kissing, yet to take the final step, when Allison interrupted us.
During this period, we continued to share dreams.
In the dreams, our bodies were still irresistibly drawn to each other.
But in reality, we tacitly avoided mentioning it.
Ethan lowered his eyes, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Finally planning to make my dream come true?”
I murmured an “Mm,” slightly turning my head to avoid his intense gaze.
Reality and dreams are ultimately different.
The touch is real, the warmth is real.
Even the nerve endings become exceptionally sensitive.
Every inch of sensation is magnified infinitely.
I finally got to hear Ethan’s voice in reality as I wished.
Deep, filled with desire.
Laced with a slight, suppressed breath.
Afterward, I curled up in his arms, staring blankly at the night outside the window.
Yet he whispered many things in my ear.
“I really like you, Avy.”
“Can I call you that? Avy.”
“Can we meet again tomorrow?”
He became somewhat clingy, extraordinarily gentle.
A stark contrast to the cold, stern ruler known to the outside world.
But there was only one thought in my mind:
Shouldn’t it end now?
Those absurd dreams, shouldn’t they end completely?
I’ve heard that as long as you reenact what happened in the dream in reality, you can end this endless entanglement of dreams.
Once the shared dreams end, I can leave without distraction.
Late at night, Ethan fell asleep.
My phone screen lit up in the darkness, receiving a new message:
[Junior, what time will you arrive tomorrow? I’ll pick you up at the station.]
Signed: Lucas Shaw.
The very senior Allison once had a crush on.
