Summary
On my birthday, I closed my eyes to make a wish. To my surprise, when I opened them, my mother had suddenly leaned over to block me, giving my younger sister the chance to blow out my candles.
I didn’t hesitate. I flipped the cake right into my sister’s face.
“Blow, blow, blow! What’s the matter? Are you not going to live long enough to see your own birthday?”
Before my sister could even start wailing, I threw myself onto the floor. I began crawling around like a creature from a horror movie, frantically tearing at my hair, screaming, sobbing, doing push-ups, pacing back and forth, howling like a banshee, contorting my body as I slithered, and rolling my eyes back into my head.
My parents were absolutely stunned!
