Cycle of Death - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Goosebumps erupted all over my body.
Despite the fact that the corpse lying on the ground had a crushed skull and blood staining half its face, I knew that face. It was my own. How could I possibly fail to recognize it?
However, with 503 standing right there, I didn’t dare react too obviously. I certainly didn’t want him to find out about this.
He was just as suspicious as I was; if he knew, he would undoubtedly turn hostile toward me.
Still, I couldn’t wrap my head around what was happening. Why was there another me?
Was it a clone? Or was this some kind of alien that could disguise itself as me?
In just a few seconds, I made up my mind: I absolutely could not let 503 know. If I did, our partnership would likely fall apart. Even if I were to investigate the cause, it would have to wait until after we killed all the murderers.
There were still two murderers left, plus the Police Officer.
But at that very moment, something terrifying happened-
I felt a sudden breeze behind me, followed by an agonizing chill in my waist!
I spun my head around only to realize it was another Black-clad Person! The knife in his hand had already sunk deep into my side.
Strength drained from my body instantly.
I wanted to scream, but my throat was blocked by fluid. Instead of a sound, a massive amount of blood erupted from my mouth.
The murderer took the opportunity to kick me away. A piercing pain radiated from my waist through my entire body.
I collapsed, slamming heavily onto the floor.
“Ah!”
503 finally let out a cry of alarm, hurriedly raising his steel pipe to defend himself.
I lay on my side on the ground, clutching the puncture wound in my waist. Despite my efforts, blood continued to gurgle out between my fingers.
My body ached, and my strength was fading fast. I knew my life was draining away with the blood.
503’s situation wasn’t looking much better. As I watched them fight, he was clearly at a disadvantage. The Black-clad Person was forcing him back step by step with the knife.
His arms, shoulders, and even his waist were marked with slash wounds. At this rate, he was going to die too.
As for me, there was no question about it. I was a dead man…
Just as I was about to close my eyes in despair, things took another unexpected turn.
I saw a figure appear in front of the window not far away!
