Summary
When my mom married into the Jiang Family, Jiang Yaoye was in the middle of a roaring argument with his dad.
“If you want me to call her Mom, it’ll be over my dead body.”
“And that little bastard-if she dares come here, I’ll strangle her.”
Father and son parted on bad terms.
That night, I braved a downpour, shivering as I tracked Jiang Yaoye down at a karaoke bar.
He let out a cold snort. “What, here to laugh at me? You think you’re clever or something?”
“I didn’t come to laugh at you…” I carefully pulled a report card out of my bag.
“The teacher wants to see a parent. I… I don’t dare ask my mom…”
A few minutes later, his furious shout echoed through the private room:
“You got a 6 in math? Do you have pig brains? Don’t you dare tell anyone you’re my little sister!”
