Summary
I never thought that in my entire life, I would end up at the Police Station. And not only did I go in, but I wasn’t even there as the person reporting an incident.
Fortunately, after understanding the whole situation, the police officer made a fair and impartial conclusion: “This is mutual assault.”
I wholeheartedly agreed with this verdict. Holding the disposable cup of water the officer had just handed me, I took a satisfied sip of hot water.
My mouth was filled with the taste of rust, blood trickling down the corner of my lips. I stared at my own reflection in the window-a face swollen like a pig’s head from being slapped-and managed to show a toothy, twisted smile.
