Chapter 21
I went to see Xu Siyan’s grandma, and he happened to be there.
His grandma had forgotten about the annulment of our engagement again.
Holding my hand, she affectionately called me her granddaughter-in-law.
I couldn’t bring myself to expose the truth, so I just went along with her.
When I was leaving, Xu Siyan asked me:
“Do you have time for May Day? I’d like to treat you to a meal.”
“Thank you for what you did for Grandma.”
I shook my head and said I was going to Turkey with a friend.
Xu Siyan and I had originally planned our honeymoon trip to be Turkey.
His eyes flickered.
“Is it the friend we met last time when we had dinner?”
He nodded at me, mumbling, wanting to say something.
After a long while, he swallowed it back, just smiling at me:
“I wish you a pleasant journey.”
“Thank you.”
