After dinner, I accompanied Chen Xu to the supermarket.
He had just moved, and there were still many things he needed to buy for his new home.
Coincidentally, the supermarket was holding a promotion where spending a certain amount would earn you a chance to win a prize.
He bought a large bag of items, which gave him three chances to draw.
The first two times, he only drew “Thank you for your patronage.”
He handed the third chance to me.
Luck was on my side, and I drew a grand prize: a double tour to Turkey.
With Labor Day approaching, Chen Xu suggested, “Shuyue, let’s go on a trip together.”
Free tickets and hotel, and I was the one who won them.
Of course, I didn’t hold back with him.
When I got home that evening, I received a message from Xu Siyan.
[Grandma has been found. She hasn’t seen you for so long and missed you, so she went out looking for you on her own.]
[Is Grandma alright?]
[She’s fine, just a bit startled.]
[I’ll go see her in a few days.]
